Unable to alter boffs at tailor

Both the veteran android boffs and kelvin android give the following error when trying to edit them at a tailor:

"You cannot change the species of the character".

Edit: Add female alien, male aenar, female human and jem'hadar vanguard boffs to that list.

    i have a simular issue on one character where a Saurian boff cant change his outfit with the same error , seems like the character customization system is having issues since this patch , besided this issue i have a two boffs that are linked you change them in the tailor and it changes the other one too , so on one character i have two customization tailor issues
