Something in new Synth TFO keeps hitting me for 150k damage.

Just finished latter phase of Synth TFO.

In the final phase when we were near starbase I got one-shotted 3 times for about 148k damage each time. My ship was not damaged at the time... I went from full health to 0 instantly the two times I wasnt saved by Temporal rep.

Anyone know what in the synth mission is hitting for that much? All the ships I saw were puny, with grav well or SCI AEs killing them quickly (but they respawn quickly also). I did not see anythign with heavy weapons. Perhaps there is some design element I overlooked? (i.e. fly too close to some object and die?)

There are those beams coming from above, if you are out of the "zone" you get a three second countdown and the you will be hit with one... i died twice before i figured it out... There will be a 3,2,1 countdown above your ship....

    I never saw countdown message.

My deaths were in final phase when I thought we were supposed to be escorting the transports to safety, and they were flying towards edge of bubble, so while protecting them I went boom.

It was hard to see much of anything since someone on my team had the lighting storm anomaly AE (from the risa ship) AI which is loud, flashing across whole screen and annoying. We really need to be able to turn off audio/video effect for certain annoying effects like that one.

Mine got stuck on 37 of 38 ships and never finished for 40 minutes I kept battling enemies and they wouldnt die.
I ended up escaping the area and warping out loosing todays progress all together.
Am doing the mission later I am hopfull that runs smoother than the TFO did.

i tried doing this TFO twice and both times a transport or two got stuck trying to leave the area so we had to sit and wait for the enemy to shoot and destroy the stuck ships, kinda sucks that other than that fun TFO

Yeah...that is the out of bounds effect. NONE of the enemies could do more than 6% damage...with no resist...while sitting still in an attempt to blow up so we can WCB the damn stuck command cruiser that the entire swarm of them could not drop below 70%. Yeah, this TFO is bad...it's beyond bad. It's a terrible design full of time gates AND it bugs like crazy. They should scrap this event at this point...but they won't. I'm just gonna AFK this event from now on. Doing the objectively ACTIVELY make it worse...so frak it, this is the first time I will say AFK and leech away if they are gonna produce trash content like this one. Cryptic finally did it...they made something SO bad, I will actively advocate that people AFK this sucker.

Yeah I am pretty sure its not Cryptic's fault lol.

I went in with my MW intrepid. Very useful in the end stage. megawell one between the points and you can mostly clear the transports. also, I just happened to have still had my competitive engines from the last TFO.. they came in handy. you have a short time when the beams intensify and the countdown. if you get enough speed, you can break the lock.
Oh, and well done, Cryptic in using Holst's The Planets - Mars, the Bringer of War for the music.

I don't recall getting a warning, but I did see a giant red laser beam slowly lock on to and then fire on my ship. Dropped me to less than 10%.

Yup. Same here. 2nd time it happened I just hit Reverse Shield Polarity and Hazard Emitters before it hit.

Are you actually advocating folks break the rules and put themselves in a place where they can get in trouble? Also, intentional AFK is something players complain about a LOT on the forums. Would this not add to that?
