The walls of Qo'nos System are weak.

So I went to full impulse and Alt-tabbed out to look at other things and then I noticed that my ship had gone to Blue. As it turns out I left the boundary walls of the System map.
Having gone to Blue and turned around to go to the Shipyard.

Returning to the area after leaving the Blue.
