Ok, this is pretty disheartening guys. Spent a good chunk of change on this pack, and from a layout standpoint I love the ships for the federation. Mix and match a couple of consoles on a couple of the different variants combined with some a couple of other space sets and boy it develops into a real powerhouse, really quick.

It's a lot more survivable than an escort, heck it's a lot more survivable than a heavy cruiser, and it doesn't handle like a pig on stilts. Major offensive firepower with a couple of the right consoles and space set.

So far so good.. until you try to customize the appearance. Then it goes to hell in a handbasket in a heart beat. It defaults to the ugliest, oh my goodness I wouldn't get caught dead flying this thing appearance. Good luck changing it. The advanced mode pretty much doesn't work at all, and even more surprisingly the basic mode doesn't even allow you to chose a couple of the more attractive options. Your stuck with the stuff that looks completely horrible. Oh sure, you think you can change appearance. You save it, lock it in.. then beam back to your ship and your in the family truckster from National Lampoons Vacation.

Seriously folks if your going to ask people to spend $100 or so on these bundles you need to have at least one person take 5 minutes to test them first. Obviously NOBODY did here. NOBODY.

Please get this fixed. Can anyone give me an idea as to how quickly they generally respond to bug reports like this?

    Can you be more specific what skin it defaults too? Otherwise, you are editorializing a lot here and it is not helpful in the bug report. Thanks. :)

    I already filed two bug reports AND sent two followup emails. But since you'd like me to be less "editorial", sure. Read it more carefully first. It's not just the skins. The advanced appearance editor pretty much doesn't work at all. You can't mix and match anything. Even the basic the only ones that work are the esquiline and the brigid, with intermittent success using palantine. In short, NOBODY TESTED THIS. Also In short, work on your customer service. It's horrific. I spent a good chunk of change on this, and while I really like the layout of the ships I really don't like it being advertised that I can make it look a certain way but I can't. Bad enough the advanced is pretty much completely broken. More than half of the basic designs don't even work.

    When you change from the various skins, it will pick either the esquiline or brigid, and even those only have a couple of skins that will actually work with them, the rest get ignored when you beam back to your ship. The changes don't actually save.

    So can I get an ETA on when this will be fixed? Yes. Frustrated customer.

    Marraak, I read it carefully but thanks for mentioning that it is not just the skins. Also, I do not work for Cryptic Studios, I just try to help people here and especially to give detailed bug reports for the Cryptic person in charge of looking through PC Gameplay Bug Reports. Editorializing does not help even though the frustration is understood. I also wish more things were tested out on Tribble before it went live to Holodeck, the main server. As well as I wish their customer service was better though they are not the only game that suffers in this respect sadly. Thanks for the detailed info. They usually do not give an ETA on when things are going to be fixed though. Thanks. :)

    Suggestion, what happened above was not helpful to cryptic, at all. Let them handle their own customer service. Having a third party who people don't know is a third party interceding is not a good idea. I already reported this twice because the bug report system isn't showing my tickets, and I've sent email. This was not the full bug report, nor a detailed explanation because it's already been detailed 3 times now. This was a heads up to fellow players that they probably don't want to invest in this bundle like I did until they get it fixed. Fair enough?
