To hell with.... those damn turrets

Console version of this map is just far more enjoyable to play because the map for them doesn't have the turrets coating the surface like a bad case of acne.

Was really hoping that PC would have a QoL pass to reduce them for this rerun of the event. They're not difficult they're just really, really tedious.

    I ignore them completly.. just hit Evasive M. and get to the next shipyard, no problem so far..

    Also, you can do the daily in the Alhena system for Surplus Dilithium. You get 4 per day, they stack, go in a device slot, and basically give you another speed boost when Evasive Maneuvers is on CD.

    The one change I am noticing is that GW isn't quite as effective against the crater hordes as it used to be.

    But I have no objections to this TFO; It's fine with me. Perhaps OP just needs to cowboy up.

    This map is far easier with a cloaking ability because of those "acne" turrets. Luv the description btw.

    Gravwell on the reactor seems to now place the centre slightly under the ground or its effect gets blocked by the structure. Either way it doesn't do the usual sucking up of ships until after the building goes pop.

    You are able to go high enough to fly over them to reach each destination.

    I tried stealth bomber tactics yesterday.
    Mixed results. While cloaked I have free reign, but it takes longer for the turrets to lose their target than I expected after I reveal myself and cloak again.

    are we talking a regular gravwell or a megawell from a dedicated EPG boat?

    That's what happens when you (and/or several other players in the TFO with you) have a full set of maxed out gear. If it's you, then congrats, you beat the game. Or maybe play it on elite difficulty? I mean, it exists for that express purpose.

    It only comes in normal difficulty.

    Being able to have fast access to dozens of abilities and custom key-mapping, more control over your camera, an immensely easier targeting system, better (not if you're playing on a toaster, of course) graphics, not having a 10% chance of crashing (25% if you dare to enter DS9) at every load screen, and decent loading times... aren't enough OoL over having to deal with a few more turrets in an instance that will barely be played after a year (a couple months, if we're being real)?

    i did it with the T6 Risian corvette.. it was not very fun I blew up like 4 times. that thing was just too fragile to try to boss one of the capture points solo. and i had her configured as a beam-boat with 2 FAW. I was losing shield then hull faster than i could keep shields up.
    I think tomorrow I'll switch to Old Deuteronomy, my legendary Oddy

    the only not real standard item i think is a must have are one of the cometition engines, either the one that gives an impulse bump for weapon mods, like BOL or TS or FAW, or the one that does the same for shield and hull heals.

    They should have put the yards in trenches and the turrets on the surface and made the whole map a maze...

    I go after the turrets while the others take on the ships. Gives the team mates breathing room, while I give the turrets something to shoot at. I made my ships to take a beating, and I fight defensively to begin with, so it works out well. B)

    While I tend use faw builds on my main I did notice that the legendary oddy makes a poor assault fighter and they should have made this a small craft mission, just code it so the turrets miss a lot to keep from becoming too frustrating

    I haven't tried this yet but I was wondering if someone had and save me the experiment. Has anyone just went up? My theory is if I get a higher altitude I could just be out of range of the turrets and just swoop down on the main target once over them.
