You were fighting an area by yourself? Now I can understand feeling overwhelmed then. I usually try to hit an area with at least one other. Makes things much easier.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.

Yes i was fighting on my own but in three years i don't remember having to deal with that many borg spheres until recently and on advanced difficulty its a very one sided fight if you can call it that i doubt whatever science ship with the most science consoles with mk xv gold drain resistance console pieces could last long against that number of borg spheres and like i said even the voth and undine got decimated by the borg
Also, if killing and dividing and conquering are not among the options for some reason, there are other ways to avoid being overwhelmed:
- Fighter spam. Make sure the enemy is targeting everything except you, to ensure you can free the Borg and avoid having to fight more ships
- Cloak your ship, for example by using consoles such as Hull image refractors (https://sto.gamepedia.com/Console_-_Universal_-_Hull_Image_Refractors), Repair drones which will also either add a lot of damage output or hull regeneration. Or use abilities such as Mask energy signature. This will only work for a few seconds of course or until the Repair drone station is destroyed, but it can help.
- Confuse the enemies and make sure they're fighting each other, like with Scramble sensors.
- Push them away with tractor beam repulsors.
- Hit them with (engine) draining abilities such as Tyken's rift and Target subsystem: Engines before they can get close to you and the ship you're trying to free.

I wish that was the case next time it happens I'm going to get a screen shot
It is possible for spheres from other sections to migrate to another. It is rare because they usually are going to get killed and usually have threat on whoever is working that section. Sometimes they just wander off, though and somehow gain threat on someone in another section. Usually this would happen if they kill whoever is in that section and there are no other targets.

This is true indeed.
In that case though, it would make sense to go and help that player and combine efforts.
Sure, one of the spots may no longer be covered, but you can still play the mission.
I do find if you get mobbed by a group of spheres their plasma torpedo's are lethal. Even with 65% kinetic dmg resistant I can still get smashed for 30k plus hits.
You could try not attacking. Been a couple times I just flew around saving borg without shooting anything. Just letting the NPCs do they're thing. Only have to worry about fighting the first phase. Once the others start joining in, it becomes easier to just save the borg and do nothing else.

> Not really. Sure there are plenty of borg ships to fight of varying strengths, but nothing overwhelming.
On my last play of the tfo i found myself against at least 10 borg spheres if not more even the voth and undine didn't last long against that number

Help the Undine and especially the Voth with their special torps kill them.
That doesn't work of course during the first phase but if I'm not mistaken, no new spheres will appear before the previous ones have been destroyed.
So can there ever be more than five or so?

Just a few ideas.
