Ba'ul Sentry Vessel build help

I am a science captain using this ship and am really trying to like it. I am wanting to focus a build around the sentry mode and being able to survive while entrenching myself. An engineer may have been a better choice, but this is what I have to work with.

I would appreciate any suggestions or links to builds that would fit this play style.
