Hey all, does anyone know if the Risa Summer event will happen this year despite the lockdown? As it has usually started by now, but nothing.
It does not help that the Devs removed the damn Calender so no one knows what is going on ingame or what is planned.

It's being delayed until the grind event is over. Most of us already done with it but summer event hopefully should be around the corner. Delayed in a record time close enough to call it FALL event
August is most definitely still Summer.

Anyone with a sound mind will agree this has been delayed "substantially".
Yes, Covid happened but then they swapped the event with the lockbox/armor instead of putting that off till after the event.
Hopefully it will be an over-the-top event better than in previous events but your guess as good as mine.

From what I've gathered the delay was caused by the ship not being ready for the event, hence them swapping it with an event that was ready (I suspect the original plan was summer event then this event but Covid delay the summer event ship so...).
I wouldn't be holding my breath that event is any different this year as there was no indication what so ever that they were working on adding/improving it.
I don't think it was arbitrary or simply to do another lockbox and event.
Everything now is a guessing game, Even the gamepedia isnt updated in such a way as to really know whats next and what day its comming. So I am like ok, no calendar no future plans, game is now taken day to day, with NO repeat NO ambition to expect anything usefull month to month except building characters and running missions:).

And plenty of other people could use more Science ships in their Admiralty collections.
Especially KDF and allies.
Free is free dude. I don't care if its the Titanic or a giant bowling ball Dropship full of Battlemechs. Its a FREE T6.
This is poor customer service and bad branding practice. Of course, I've been saying this kind of stuff for years now, why would anyone listen now?
The problem is more people use social media than the forums. A LOT more. We forumites only represent a small fraction of the playerbase. So its not as much a customer service issue as it is an exposure issue.
That being said... I do wish that we'd get a few more updates here too. But we also have to consider that the Devs are only human, and with Corona going around they're not working under ideal circumstances.
I mean AmbassadorKael got upstaged by his CAT a couple times on the livestreams.
