Platinum vanity shield? doesn't work

The platinum vanity shield does not seem to work on hardly any ships worked on the t4 kobiashi maru. will not work on any klingon, rom or jem ship i've tried. At best make the ship sort flat grey none are "shiny" as the pictures suggest. This going to get fixed or just another throw away gift?

    Here too, it's working on every ship i tried it... and i have a LOT.. but the reflection depends on what map you are.. works great on ESD or Risa.. but on some patrols it looks gray and black with a blue trim, kinda demi-tron

    I was pleasantly surprised with the platinum vanity shield and feel it looks better with the neon trim than it does as a reflective metal skin. Free vanity shields are typically ugly while this one is actually half decent.

    First it's platinum sniper rifle, now platinum vanity shield, where you guys hearing about all this free stuff? And why don't I know about it, despite logging in every day? There's nothing on the launcher

    Yup, AND it's on the Launcher (Been on since the 30th June).

    Make sure you have visuals disabled on whatever shield you are actually using. Sometimes that an override a cosmetic shield. I'd also suggest flying around a bit and checking in different lighting. Some zones like Risa seem to mute or alter the visual effects.

    Are you equipping it in your Visuals slot? or trying to use it as a ship shield?

    It's a cosmetic item, it goes in the Visuals tab and provides a visual override for your ship. You still use the regular ship shield that you normally use. I have used it on quite a few T6 ships and haven't found one yet that it didn't work with.

    Can't tell you on this one, it's posted on the forums and on the launcher. I honestly don't know how you didn't see it, but the shield and the rifle are in the same free pack available in Mudds Market under the 'Bundles' tab.

    I'm the first one to blast Cryptic for their lack of information, but on this one they honestly made it kinda hard to miss. :wink:
