[BUILD] Ferengi Quark Marauder T6

Greetings, Admirals!

Welcome to Winters Budget Builds Series.

This series is intended to be a guide on how to effectively, efficiently and more importantly, build Starships on a “budget”. This is not intended to be a “min max” series by any means. The builds you will see here will show you how to create an effective build on a budget. Each video will cover all aspects of the build, Weapons, Equipment, Consoles, Skill Tree, Traits, Boff Abilities, Doffs, Specializations, etc. For each video I will also have the build replicated on STO Academy so that players can view the builds in detail and review them when needed. You can find this link in the description when viewing on YouTube.

Near the end of each video I will also demonstrate the builds in a Patrol so that viewers can see the build in action. I have chosen this over “Infected: The Conduit - Advanced” as the outcome of that TFO can be affected by the team that you are with. Whereas playing a patrol, you can see how the build performs in a single player environment. Every player, new and veteran, will find this series a valuable source of information. You may even learn something new!

If you have any requests for a particular ship that you would like to see, please leave a comment stating the request and “if” I have the ship, I will endeavor to do a video for that ship.

First of all, thank you for sharing the video.
I addressed one comment you made on youtube already.

A build on STO academy would be appreciated since it makes it easier to make suggestions.
One of the recurring comments is about the use of the KCB/Borg console. In particular the KCB.

While the alternatives differ for the type of vessel, in this case i would be inclined to use the Lorca DBB/Console combo.
Some people will most likely lynch me for even suggesting this, but you can also go for the full Lorca 3-piece.
It helps with power management and allows you to potentially replace the Leech with another console.
E.g. https://sto.gamepedia.com/Console_-_Universal_-_Computer_Assisted_Flight_Algorithms
Or depending on the ship you pilot one of the other universal consoles.

If you have a nimble vessel and lots of forward firepower you could also use
https://sto.gamepedia.com/Console_-_Universal_-_Deconstructive_Resonance_Emitter

Edit: looking over the build, i see you use the 2-piece bajoran and 2-piece discovery (don't remember the name atm).
But you opted for bajoran engine/shield and discovery deflector/warp core.

It'd be a shame not to take advantage of the innate power of Tilly's shield to do extra damage to shields so bajoran engine/deflector + discovery WC/Shield probably has higher potential.

Hey @questerius,

So unfortunately I was not able to recreate the build on STO Academy as the ship is not available on there yet. I was very surprised to find that it's not yet up there. I am gonna try and keep an eye on it though over the coming weeks but hopefully not months to see if/when the ship is added. Once it is I will do the build up and add it to the video.
