Access Mail feature doesn't work

Has anyone experienced the Access Mail feature not working when attempting to send items to other characters on your account?

    PC or console?

    To send or receive items you must use a mail terminal, you can't just click on the mail icon on your UI.

    You can't send bound items, including account-bound items.

    Probably because the server is completely unstable today and unplayable. DCed within 2-3 minutes of playing each attempt tonight. I can sit around the Earth Dock...once I join a TFO (actually being thrown into ongoing TFO's) then everything around me ceases to move and I am DCed or I have to quit out of the Client.
    "Protesters" probably burned down or looted the Server Farm.

    on the PS4, I used the mail terminal all last week to send data chips to my main character, but since the latest update it doesn't work anymore.

    Check the data chips, are they bound at all?

    You can always use the account bank.
