Groupees code returns "Internal error. Please try again" on Active Product

I am unable to redeem the $2 Groupees code. I go to the gear icon of the launcher, enter the code received...and all I get is a error message "Internal error. Please try again." How do I get this code entered and receive my virtual items?

    When you say "gear icon on the launcher", you are in the ARC client, choose the gear, and select 'Activate a Product'?

    If so, that should be the correct method. Make sure you have copied the key exactly and that there are no spaces at the start or end when you put it in.

    It could be that there is actually an error going on with ARC communication at the moment, so another option is to wait a couple hours and try again.

    Other than that, I'd put in a ticket to see if they can provide any additional information on the error. I think if the key had been used already it would say that, but maybe not?

    I've had that happen. Signing out and back into Arc fixed it.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D
