Returning casual player looking for LGBT inclusive fleet/community?

Hi, I returned to STO some months back after being away for several years so I'm in the process of re-learning the game. I'm friendly and enjoy chatting (though shy at times) and grouping with others. I would love to find a fleet/community in STO that I feel I can fit into easily and feel included in, to enjoy the game with, as I don't really enjoy soloing all the time. A fleet that says up front that they're LGBT friendly/inclusive would make this easier for me overall. I'm also a casual player and not really looking to be the best of the best at anything, I just want to be "decent/good" at the game to the point that I'm not being carried through stuff and relax, have fun and maybe make some friends along the way. I think a smaller to mid-size fleet might work out better for me as well. I would love to find a fleet with members that actually want to do things with me now and then, maybe say hello and chat with me a bit when I log in and yeah... thats about it really.

I've tried a few fleets and so far, they either tend to be ghost towns, very cliquey or too big and overwhelming (feels like zone chat). If I sound like someone you would like to have in your fleet, please let me know. Thank you!

Also, if you don't have a fleet for me but think you might like to hang out in game sometime or run some TFO's/missions with me etc. thats fine too, just let me know! I'm definitely looking for some STO friends.

FYI: I've already seen some fleets in STO that seem to say they only want to recruit particular character genders... so yeah... all my characters are male, if that matters. I'm also a U.S. EST player (play late sometimes) and a casual Trekkie, so totally open to conversations about Trek and Trek lore though not as interested in the newer Trek.

Dear Polaris,

Our fleet Liberty Task Force is open to anyone and while our website (www.libertytaskforce.com) might not out right state LGBTQ, our fleet motto is “Liberty, Equality, Peace, and Cooperation” and we tend to live by that.

We are on the large side but we do have 3 Fed fleets and 2 KDF fleets:

Liberty Task Force
Pride of the Federation
Liberty Honor Guard
Pride of the Empire
Liberty Guardians

so theirs plenty of room and opportunity. We have an active cross-faction in-game chat that we use for both our Fed/KDF armada which is always busy but doesn’t feel like Zone chat. We do have fleets/players from all over the world in our armadas so you’ll likely never be on alone. We have an active website with forums where we do events and activities, Discord server, and TeamSpeak.

You can participate as little or as much as you want, we don’t have any real requirements. Also, if you are looking for a fleet that specifically states LGBTQ friendly we do have one in our armada and can direct you to them if you wish.

I believe that Stonewall Fleet is still around and going strong. It has fleets for all factions and across all platforms

Stonewall is the fleet in our KDF armada I was referring to as well.

Where I state the following: “ if you are looking for a fleet that specifically states LGBTQ friendly we do have one in our armada and can direct you to them if you wish.”

I didn’t mention it by name, but Stonewall KDF is in our KDF armada.

There's the Stonewall series of fleets (in that one myself), LGBT of Starfleet (don't know much about them) and the others mentioned above. Stonewall does though have a full Level 85 fleet with all the amenities, just saying.

Hello and thank you for the reply back in May. I was interested in checking your fleet out but I haven't been able to find your character online in STO when I am, I have checked a few times in recent weeks. I'm usually on around late afternoon to early evening EST U.S. time right now, sometimes later. I also tried joining the Stonewall Fleet channel as suggested on your in-game fleet recruitment profile. However, I recently introduced myself in the channel around 9pm EST on a Sunday, there were close to 30 people in the channel at the time and after a half hour I still hadn't received a single response. I tried again a second time and still received no reply. I'm not sure if I just chose a bad time to say hello and look for recruitment assistance in the channel but unfortunately, I can't say this has been a great first impression so far. I would still be interested in checking out your fleet sometime if I can make contact with an officer/recruiter in-game eventually.

Access Denied is a well established active, casual, friendly Tire 5 Fed fleet
Naw'Tem is the T5 KDF sister fleet of Access Denied.

Our Federation and KDF Armadas both have the highest level in STO. We became the number 1 Armada on the Federation side last summer and have been the number 1 KDF armada for 4 years now.

Hmm, there should've been ample people online though chat on Sunday nights can occasionally be a little subdued. If for whatever reason the StonewallFleet chat is quiet, there's always activity on our Discord server, where you can reach out for an in-game invite if you've been unable to get one in-game. Now that a couple of my toons are levelled up enough and have some provisions, I was thinking of maybe putting one of them into Liberty Task Force mentioned upthread.

But one of them is a TOS toon that I've been trying to put into a themed fleet, I saw a couple of ships recently belonging to "LGBT Temporal-" something or other but haven't found follow up into for them. Maybe someone here has contact info.
