How would alien species know what Earth symbology would be for a Medical Ship? Even we don't have a unified symbology.
Because we told them? You're not gonna send a hospital ship into the Final Frontier, that's what the Explorer ships like the Galaxy-class are for. As for the local powers all UFP has to say is "this symbol means the ship in question is non-combatant, shooting it is a war crime" and for Starfleet to respect the symbol (aka not use medical ships as combat ships), we know from DS9 that there are rules and customs of war that seem somewhat universally accepted by the "Alpha Quadrant Powers".

    Didn't help the Pasteur.

There is already a canon troop carrier in the game, the wartime role of the Galaxy class is as a self-escorting troop carrier that can carry 6000 fully equipped troops for an assault or evacuate 15,000 in a pinch.

That wartime/peacetime differentiation can be applied to enough other ship classes that it is likely the hospital ships like the
Pasteur have dual roles as well, perhaps as biological sciences ships in peacetime or when not responding to disasters so it makes sense that they would be represented by standard science ships in the game. For that matter phasers are as much a tool as they are a weapon, and even torpedo buses can be fitted with instruments for use as probes.

To be fair... Borg don't respect ANYTHING. Even negotiated deals. The second your usefulness has ended, they turn around and stab you in the back, trying to assimilate you. Voyager revealed that.

Concerning the Olympic class, a T6 version is long overdue and a quality upgrade on the digital model is needed.

You mean the in-game model? Since the Olympic class seen in TNG was a physical model (not much CGI in the mid 1990s) and you're not gonna see much changes to that at most you'll get an in-game model closer to that seen on screen.

No. You're thinking the T2 Daedelus, which is a TOS era ship.
People are referring to this ship.

True enough, just wanted be sure you meant the in-game models and didn't think the one from TNG was a CGI model (TNG did use CGI just not for ships IIRC).

But then there's a boat load of early STO models in deperate need of updating.

How about having a hospital ship skin for ships? Like all white with a red cross symbol, or red crescent, or a caduceus.

Once again it's time for me to ramble about how the Borg race design got rewritten and twisted into something completely different, BUT: The fact that someone did negotiate with Borg is nonsensical to begin with: Original Borg had no agenda, they were like a force of nature. It'd be like trying to negotiate with an avalanche. What made them scary, in my opinion, was that the Borg didn't have a "reason" in our understanding behind it. Later they just made them default villians with default villian-y traits like being treacherous, power hungry and what not.

wouldn't that be a kitchen ship (the scientist's name was spelled Curie), besides if it didn't appear on-screen it's highly unlikely it'll ever appear in STO (now ships that did appear on-screen but were only detailed in other sources can appear but ones that are stricly EU are highly unlikely and fan designs are utterly impossible)

This particular Curry-class was named after Dan Curry, the visual effects supervisor on DS9. It was briefly seen in the episode "A Time to Stand." Although, it was more visible then the Cheyenne-Class or New Orleans-Class ships that are in-game and seen the TNG episode "The Best of Both Worlds II."

The video link in my post goes over the history of the class.

It also have Caduceus decals instead of the starfleet Delta ones and as stated before Caduceus is often mistaken for a symbol of medicine.

yeah, funnily enough, the starfleet medical emblem makes the exact same mistake most other media sources using a caduceus or any variant of it makes - namely, the caduceus is NOT a symbol of medicine or healing - the proper symbol is supposed to be the rod of asclepius

hehe You right, Starfleet medical corps use winged symbol of Hermes, god of merchants. They are probably run by private individuals who collect money for transport to the hospital, as in our time.

I never mentioned red crosses, I wrote "red medical insignia". and as for function, the ship designers tend to be quite clever. Im certain a mechanic of some sort would apply to these ships that would work fine. Just give me a big white rectangular shaped ship (like the Jem'Hadar carrier) with red marking and a cool medical themed console or innate ship ability like aggressive ship buffs or large enemy disabling/pacification. I'm sure the staff will think of something

Shuttles do(nearly) nothing, excluding the occasional mission like the Vault. I'm sure there could be a mission that is Phage involved, or Hobus incident evacuation re-enactment("The ship that tried"), Borg rescue, save from Iconian attack, or something like it that could have a preq. of Hope, Pasteur, or Hospital ship.
Adm. Necheyev didn't own ANY Starfleet ships. Starfleet did. Also she didn't make one bolt, connect a single wire, gelpack or device, or otherwise helped on making them. I find it presumptuous she claimed it was HER ships. In fact saying as much would probably warranty a reprimand from any of her superiors in Federation and possibly not participating in said actions as other superior personnel do, would in our days(2409 onwards) result in herself facing the same fate as what she has threatened, in that same penal colony.
