greetings all

now if like myself you are a star trek online veteran which i have been a lifetime sub to the game since its launch give or some. you will have no doubt noticed that for a long time now. a lot of the old story arc missions that were in the game were removed along with the side quests in each respective story arcs. examples of these are as follows.

Spectres “Spectres” • “Skirmish” • “Spin the Wheel” • “What Lies Beneath” • “Everything Old is New” • “Night of the Comet”
Wasteland “Secrets of Nimbus” • “The Lost City of Paradise” • “Blind Men Tell All Tales” • “The Undying” • “A Fistful of Gorn” • “Installation 18”
(Still part of main episode progression for Romulan Republic players.)
Lost Dominion “Lost Dominion” • “Second Wave” • “Of Bajor” • “Operation Gamma” • “Facility 4028” • “Boldly They Rode”
Cold War “Cold War” • “Cold Call” • “Out in the Cold” • “Cold Comfort” • “Cold Case” • “Cold Storage”
Kobali Crisis “Kobali Crisis Act I” • “Kobali Crisis Act II” • “Kobali Crisis Act III”

the ones in particular that i enjoyed were those in the spectres missions.. the lost dominion missions and the cold war missions.

now a longtime back we were told that these missions were simply getting remastered and would be re added at a later date.. now i do not know if i'm the only one that has noticed that they indeed have not been re added. however i would love to see them be re added again. hopefully these thread gets noticed and perhaps if it gets enough traction perhaps the devs will add them again. but tell me if they did re add them would you play them if they were remastered as was said originally ?. i myself would. and yes i realise that some are still in the game. but here is the annoying part, you have to be level 65 in order to access those missions and side quests. and by then. its pretty much useless to do so. when you are at such a high level. it would make much more sense to have those be playable when you are still low level i.e level 10 and up. this is just how i view it. about all of you ?

Err...they are literally all in there still. There have been some Fed missions removed for a quality pass, but after over a year, they still haven't been done.

Those ones you have listed are in your Available tab. They were (unwisely) shifted out of the main Episode list.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

yeah that's what i mean the ones i would want to do i.e the spectres missions you have to be level 65 or over. but yes you are correct indeed when you say they were unwisely shifted. to me they should just be re added back into where they used to be.. i'm sure the devs could do that. i also was at drozana earlier and noticed that now you can't use the dabo table there. i'm guessing to do that you have to be at quarks at ds9 to play dabo. or at least that is what i am hoping.

The first mission in Spectres is also bugged on spawn point for Fed players. Spawns you with the Klingon ships rather than the Fed ones, so you are automatically surrounded by enemies right off the bat.

What you said was that they were removed, when they were actually just moved. There's a difference. Honestly, the only unwise part about it was making all but the Nimbus missions level 65 unlocks. Moving them to the very top of the Available tab actually makes most of them easier to access, but having them at level 65 is definitely sort of pointless, and it breaks the story progression a little bit in some cases. It's especially strange that they did that at the same time that they made a bunch of changes that unlocked almost everything in the Episodes tab, giving you nearly complete freedom to skip around and do nearly all of those in whatever order that you want.
This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

But those Episodes in the Available Tab have to be played in order the first time through each of those Arcs. No Skipping allowed. You don't even see the next Episode until you complete the previous.

There are still a lot of episodes gone from the Klingon war arc and the DS9 area missions that should be brought back themselves.

There is another active Thread in this Forum on this Topic. I stated there:

'One of my Characters still has those removed Missions (not the Guardian and Kuvah'magh). You don't get the Button in Sector Space to enter the System for the Mission but you will get the fly-bys telling you the Mission name when you enter the System. The Mission proceeds normally, but you cannot complete it or get the Rewards (you do get drops).

Unless you drop the Mission, it can be infinitely repeated.'

yeah i know what you are all saying, my point is. that they could easily put them back where they used to be. instead of being in the available tab. and make them so that you don't have to be lvl 65 before you can do them. and they did say they would remaster missions and add them back but they haven't.

The removed missions from the Romulan and Cardassian arcs are gone. They never said that any of those would be coming back in any way. For that matter, so is "War is Good For Business" from the Klingon War arc, which was removed in the previous revamp of that arc. There was talk at the time of the Borg/Undine arcs' revamp of my doing a better version of "State of Q' if they could get Avery Brooks to voice Sisko for it, but that still seems as unlikely as ever, so it might as well be included here. None of those episodes were what could be called good, so it's no great loss. The best of them had about half of a good story idea, and many were just repetitive slogs with terrible ground maps that were thinly-disguised mazes to go through, very old-school MMO grind missions.

That's also true, and also seems to run counter to the flexibility that they gave the regular episodes at the same time, so it's mildly annoying, I guess. There's also the issue that people report of those episodes not unlocking on characters, for whatever reason, which should probably be fixed if it's still a thing.

You can still play Dabo at Drozana. When you get near the table, there is a low-priority interact in the lower right part of the screen that says Play Dabo. It's the same process that you have to use in Quark's, and might even have to use on Risa, and possibly on the bridge Dabo table on a Ferengi ship. I'm not certain about the last two, as it's been a while since I attempted to play Dabo at either location.

I've heard speculation a few may be getting updated in 2020...

But no official word or announcement as of yet, it was 1-2 years back they removed them.

Hope everyone staying SAFE as best you can.

I'm aware they are "gone" that doesn't mean I approve of that. The Cardassian area has gone from two separate plotlines and over a dozen missions to a tiny 4 mission arc. There were unique and interesting missions in there, and yes some were too formulaic and grindy, but that much can be cleaned up easily. They are also, at least partially, still in game.

That second 'Cardassian' Arc - The 2800, is still in the game but moved to that Availible Tab. I believe at the time of removal of the other Cardassian Missions, they stated something along the lines that the Arc was all over the place and they were simplifying it.

The removed and reworked Cardassian Missions are listed here:

The removed Romulan Missions from the Romulan Mystery Arc and those reworked are listed here:
