Which ship

mustafatennickmustafatennick Member Posts: 868 Arc User
I'm a returning player been out for about 4 years

I've fired up my Alts and enjoying playing PVE again

My room alt seems to still be relevant with a scimitar beam build however my fed alt is a different story

I want to run a tac beam boat and was wonder which T6 ship people would consider

I can't afford the time or money for the Kelvin ship I'd probably be limited to fleet and zen ships

Thanks for any advice
----=====This is my opinion you don't have to listen and no one else has to read them these "OPINIONS" are based on my exploits and my learning other people will have their opinions and that's fine just don't knock my way of doing things thanks=====----

There are a few good C-Store options to consider.

First would be the Arbiter Battlecruiser. This one is an older ship but it's trait is still the 'gold standard' in DPS builds. The ship itself is also quite good, it has Intel seating, a highly desirable 5/3 layout, a console that helps with durability and it has a fairly good amount of cosmetic options. I personally recommend this ship to anyone that doesn't yet have it.

One of the best overall ships in the C-Store is the Gagarin Miracle Worker Battlecruiser. This is a beast of a ship, great layout and a pretty good trait. The console is sub par but it's a full Miracle Worker ship with very powerful bridge officer abilties as well as 12 consoles instead of the normal max of 11. The Tucker Class is another great Miracle Worker spec beam boat.. I just don't like it quite as much as the Gagarin because it's not as versitile. The Gagarin can do Beams or Cannons and has a better inertia rating so it doesn't 'slide' as much.

The Endeavor Class is still also a very viable option, but it's really best if you have at least one other console from the set so it's not the greatest as a single purchase. Still, it's a capable ship. The last recommendation if you're looking for a more 'screen accurate' pick would be the Archon Intel Assault Cruiser. It's engineering heavy so it's best for something like an Aux2Bat build.. but in that situation it's a solid ship. One trick pony, but it does that trick well and gives you that nice Sovereign skin as an option if you're into something that looks truly 'trek.'

Out of the lot, I recommend the Arbiter or the Gagarin. The Gagarin is the better ship, the Arbiter has the 'must have' trait.
    Insert witty signature line here.

on federation no. you have to be kdf or kdf alinged to use kdf ships.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

Not sure if you already know, but as Federation and Klingon you can also use the Romulan ships you own.
That is with a few exceptions like liftetime, box and lobi ships.

So while it breaks immersion, you can actually use your scimitar on a federation character.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

There are a ton of options for beam boats, depending on just how you want to do it. Lots of 5/2 escorts work really well for a dual beam build while 4/3 can do that or standard beams for broadsiding, and of course the standard beam broadsiding cruisers, but even some science ships have a lot of tac slots that can be fun to augment with some science magic. Any miracle worker ship is at the top of the pile for straight DPS, but every ship has its value.

It would help to narrow it down a bit.
