Augment boarding party trigger drain infection?

When I use augment boarding party, it does not trigger drain infection. Since it is a drain skill, it should trigger the electrical DoT. Is this a oversight, or is it the intention for this particular drain ability to not trigger drain infection?

I am an Xbox One player.

    Is it really a drain ability or more of a disable? Just looking at the 2 wiki descriptions, it's not modified by Drain-X and doesn't appear to interact with anything skill related or otherwise. Yes I know it says 'drains shields' so I can see why it could be assumed that drain infection is triggered.

    Yes it is a drain ability because it drains shields. According to the in-game description of drain infection, it is triggered by any ability that drains a target's shields or power levels. Also, the skill description of ABP in-game does indicate that it is modified by drain-X.
