New Pike series and a crossover series. I had assumed that the second of the live action series mentioned, but unnamed was going to be Star Fleet Academy, but perhaps its going to be this crossover series. Or this crossover series is something they came up with and decided on after they announced that they were working on 2 unnamed live action series.

So we could be looking at Section 31, Pike, Starfleet Academy, and Crossover series (which would almost HAVE to invovle time travel), but obviously all of these shows will have to wait till Corona is beaten, which means 2021.

<Obviously, all of these series would be stretched across the Trek timeline, but we’ve heard that time travel will be used to bring everyone together. Exact plot details remain vague at the moment, of course, but apparently they’d all have to work alongside one another to fight some common foe. It’s also unclear which characters would be involved, but we presume the main players from each of the aforementioned shows would feature. >

again, the same temporal cr.p, and again an über foe. they really need to hire talented writers who have a huge imagination. The Star trek franchise becomes really pitiful.

It sounds like vapor instead of something seriously being considered by CBS. If it does originate from CBS instead of just rumors the "contact" heard that actually came from outside of CBS, then it is probably a rumor started to test the waters for a Prime/Kelvin crossover or for simply running several series in close parallel like how TNG, DS9, and VOY overlapped. Moonves was known for starting such test rumors and "leaks" (probably to see how far he could deviate from the Trek he hated and still use the name) so CBS is quite familiar with the idea.

On the other hand, it would be nice to see them step away from "The One Ship That Saves Them All" epic pedestal garbage and return to a TOS-like format were the ship and crew are just one of the better ships and crews in the fleet.
