Bonus Weekend - Cryptic Seems confused again

According to the ingame calendar for the past few weeks (and still showing), this weekend should be a Double XP event, which I had prepared for and was looking forward to.

However, the latest news item just posted seems to think that we now have both an R&D weekend and a Junior Officer weekend starting tomorrow. Given the plans for the new promo ship I assume the news post is now the correct one, but could someone at Cryptic please make an effort to keep these tow sources in line.

The error the other week was bad enough for those who like to plan ahead, and now we have confusion again.

    I look up the what weekend is coming this week on the news site that says will be Research and Development and Junior Officer Weekend, but I login to the game and look at the calendar says that it is XP weekend.

    Yep, another backtrack on the XP Weekend Event. We just had a bloody Junior Officers Weekend Event. Very few of these News Blogs are making into the GNN as well.

    Well the new ship is coming tomorrow so it makes sense they're having the R&D event.

    I'm rather annoyed they keep pushing double exp back. They had the weekend on the calender for a month and a half and and we see this.

    I have toons id like to level up in a reasonable time frame. I dont care for some useless r&d weekend.

    Guess I'll play more factorio this weekend.

    Thinking of ideas from lots of games for, dunno how long now.

    Yeah but like.. double XP weekened doesn't get them money, while RD GET THE PROMO NOOOOOOOAWWWW does..
