I wonder could it be something to do with the authentication servers. Every action be it moving a character via walking/running to activating powers on ground or space has to be confirmed by the servers and could it either be Akamai delaying this response or Cryptics own servers?
For every action there needs to be a reaction what if the reaction is the issue?

Going to have to probably abandon the Dyson Ground Battlezone the Rubberbanding, Power misfires, Game freezes are so diabolically bad that if I continue to persevere with it I'm likely to end up uninstalling this game after 9 years of playing due to being totally pissed off.

I no longer get d/c since we changed our router yesterday.
But lag on ESD was extremely terrible at first for a few minutes, then it straightened out. Not sure what was going on there. I was stuck at the transporter room till my toon stopped hopping around and bouncing. Didn't think to take a tracert at the time. Sorry.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.

indeed, i have also a lot of lag rubberbanding in : dyson bz, kobali, nimbus, new romulus command, ds9 and esd. But almost never, during missions or tfos.

After playing some random TFO's after todays patch and having only a couple of rubberbanding issues which was in Starbase One but nothing disruptive I loaded into Dyson Ground and dear god it was horrific. Simply pressing an arrow key once to move my character forward often results in the character rubberbanding back

I can be in a zone with a population of 2 people and just press the arrow key to step forward only to be rubberbanded back.

My performance is so bad right now that I am unable to log in. Live in Toronto Canada, and over the past two weeks things have been getting slowly worse. I never used to have these issues either, so this is all new. The trouble seems to be limited to just the evenings - around 6-7PM EST, and itll be cleared up again the next morning.
Right now, it takes about 30 seconds for the launcher to load fully. Another 30 seconds for my characters to appear on the character select screen (once the screen pops up) And then I just hang at around 42% on the following loading screen once I select my character

OH, and if I DO manage to get into the game, Im rubber banding all over the place for the first 45 secondsish after login - and them im fine provided that I dont have any other players on screen. If I enter any social zones, enter a TFO, or do anything with other players around, I start to rubber band again, and my clicks can take up to 5 seconds to actually take effect in game

So logged in did admiralty, ran the omega event, played Starbase One, took 2 characters to tailor one on ESD and 1 on the fleet starbase no issues with lag/rubberbanding
I go to Dyson Battlezone and rubberbanding/Lag and thrown in for good measure a few server not respondings which have cleared up except for the lag and rubberbanding

Ping wets the bed once again as it goes through Akamai.
I've just finished a diagnostics test with my ISP provider. Providing the patch server tracert and i.p address 93.191.173.11 and the problem is 100% with Cryptic and Akamai.
Now as I've said in a previous post you aren't going to do anything about this issue and here's why I believe that.
You have a contract with Akamai and it will cost more to terminate that contract than to continue to frustrate and annoy a small number of the playerbase.

I don't think that this problem concerns only a small number of the playerbase. the problem must be shared by a lot of players. I can see everywhere frozen players during some seconds, or who are confronted by rubberbanding. I avoid some places in game now, it becomes ridiculous (New rom command -awful-; dyson bz -awful- ...) Misfire is really a pain in the a.. .
Haven't even loaded the game but with pings like this going through Akamai do I want to?

My Connection is frustrating. I can log into game, then take many seconds to have my duty officer missions, admiralty, and anything of this nature appear 7 seconds AFTER fully loading in. Skills that I want to fire in space will not fire due to the insane delay I experience. ground rubber banding at times is very noticeable but only during server controlled event mechanics. I wonder if all my weapons truly fire due to this delay!
my ping just compounds in latency within your akamai servers. I'm connecting from Sydney and if I don't use a usa proxy my ping is 350 average. it should be at MOST 250.
I have a feeling my extreme distance exaggerates this issue you are looking for, and is the key in figuring out this issue.

But lag on ESD was extremely terrible at first for a few minutes, then it straightened out. Not sure what was going on there. I was stuck at the transporter room till my toon stopped hopping around and bouncing. Didn't think to take a tracert at the time. Sorry.

Haven't quit DBZ just yet as its my favourite place in the game. But the zone and ground in general suffers from my experience more lag and rubberbanding than space combat does

indeed, i have also a lot of lag rubberbanding in : dyson bz, kobali, nimbus, new romulus command, ds9 and esd. But almost never, during missions or tfos.
After playing some random TFO's after todays patch and having only a couple of rubberbanding issues which was in Starbase One but nothing disruptive I loaded into Dyson Ground and dear god it was horrific. Simply pressing an arrow key once to move my character forward often results in the character rubberbanding back

Right now, it takes about 30 seconds for the launcher to load fully. Another 30 seconds for my characters to appear on the character select screen (once the screen pops up) And then I just hang at around 42% on the following loading screen once I select my character

OH, and if I DO manage to get into the game, Im rubber banding all over the place for the first 45 secondsish after login - and them im fine provided that I dont have any other players on screen. If I enter any social zones, enter a TFO, or do anything with other players around, I start to rubber band again, and my clicks can take up to 5 seconds to actually take effect in game
Power activated does it really matter I can simply as mentioned press the arrow key once to step forward and rubberband.

So logged in did admiralty, ran the omega event, played Starbase One, took 2 characters to tailor one on ESD and 1 on the fleet starbase no issues with lag/rubberbanding
I go to Dyson Battlezone and rubberbanding/Lag and thrown in for good measure a few server not respondings which have cleared up except for the lag and rubberbanding

Ping wets the bed once again as it goes through Akamai.
I've just finished a diagnostics test with my ISP provider. Providing the patch server tracert and i.p address 93.191.173.11 and the problem is 100% with Cryptic and Akamai.
Now as I've said in a previous post you aren't going to do anything about this issue and here's why I believe that.
You have a contract with Akamai and it will cost more to terminate that contract than to continue to frustrate and annoy a small number of the playerbase.

my ping just compounds in latency within your akamai servers. I'm connecting from Sydney and if I don't use a usa proxy my ping is 350 average. it should be at MOST 250.
I have a feeling my extreme distance exaggerates this issue you are looking for, and is the key in figuring out this issue.
