Account Wide Dillithium Refinement

Neverwinter implemented this.. It's better compared to having 50 alts each maxing refinement via contraband and admirality and then Running prices of dill up for the actual players playing because they can spam out 400k dill per day, while a lot of people are stuck with a few alts they play that have a ton of unrefined dill that they'll never refine.

Nerf Contraband & Admirality as Dillithium Sources, Make like 100k Dill Refinement Acc wide cap like in Neverwinter, Make actually playing the game reward Dill and not sitting down every day and doing admirality and duty officers to get the dill capped..

No to nerfing Contraband and Admiralty as Dilithium sources. Also, some people are not able to sit down everyday and play the game so they do admiralty and DOFFing to offset some of that. You would be taking away an option for them. I personally have no problem with the dilithium cap unless Cryptic themselves changes it to be more than it currently is.

Making a Static Account wide refinement like in NW where it was like 30k AD per alt (like it is in STO at 8k now) to 100k account refinement is a lot better because there, you can get the max refinement by playing 1 character, 2 characters or 50 characters if you so desire, you don't Have to have a ton of characters to hit the cap, but the current system forces people to cap out character sots and each of those has to cap their dill refinement in order to cap their account's dill refinement and this is also a big disadvantage for any returning players or new players because they're not even able to cap their dill refinement at the theoretical limit (50 alts = 400k atm) because they don't have the slots, and even if they got the slots (which would be a little over 10k zen for a new player to get the alts) they would still need to spend a ton of time getting them up and ready for all that grinding, which itself isn't a very fun part of the game, and also gives the older players a Huge advantage over the newer ones.

This sends a message that is more or less "If you've been playing this game for a while, you can get all you want ingame ez, but if you're new, spend 100$+ just to be able to grind the way the old players are atm" instead of "Ok, old players have an advantage because they've been playing this longer, but you can get to the same level that they are on now (as full F2Pers) if you spend some cash on your gear & stuff like that to make you preform better when you learn how to use it"
  • So how does that work? You have like a daily cap of, say 80k, 1 character can refine 80k if you have 10 characters?

well that'd be slightly missing the point tho it'd be better then having to go 8k on every alt and not do it all in one place, but the idea is to get the dill cap on an account wide basis instead of per alt basis.

To make this account-wide you would have to make some balance given a number of average characters players have.

If you set it to 48k, players with less than 6 characters will not be happy, players with more than 6 characters would be happy or not depending on case and the only satisfied ones will be the ones with 6 characters.

Now if a player has dozens and CB's them, I find no problem in that. I prefer having only a few mains and actually playing them while complementing their income towards 8k/day by doffing and admirality.
