Engine disappeared when clicking "equip"

in PC Gameplay Bug Reports
My ship was equipped with a MACO engine (Mk XV) and I was in combat when I picked up a Mk VI common engine. I went to salvage the engine and clicked "equip" instead. I then clicked "equip" to replace my MACO engine and then it disappeared. Has anyone else had this happen?

    Is it in your ship's Visuals slot?
    Where there is a Will, there is a Way.

    also if you have a shuttle check it, my gear sometimes jumps to it...

    Yep, it was in the visuals tab. Baffling. I have no idea how it got there. Thanks!
