daimon97daimon97 Member Posts: 368 Arc User
So somehow I managed to grab one of these-Infinity Prize Pack - T6 Ship. Im really not posting this to brag but I need advice I have a Vaadwaur Manasa Assault Escort and I really enjoy the dps escort build i have. I was wondering if any ships in this pack might work better than Manasa or should i just sell the most expensive ship on the pack for EC? Im a Romulan(Reman) KDF alligned char. Any advice is much appreciated

This question is very difficult to answer because only you know what you like to play and what works best for you.

The best advice I can give you is that you look over the list of available ships here. You can read up on each one and you can make some sample builds using the skill planner to see what ships fit the build you're trying to do.

The only other advice I can give you is that you could copy your character over to the Tribble Test server and open the box there. You can pick a ship, try it.. then recopy your character and try a different ship. Go through them and look for one you like.

There are no bad options in the box, so it's not just as simple as telling you that 'Ship X' is best and 'Ship Y' is worst.. it's not really possible to make that call without knowing your exact build and how you like to play.

By the way, sorry for not answering you in game earlier, you messaged me just as I had to log off, I had to go right away and didn't have time to reply. Sorry about that.

First off: My advice is to hold onto it until you KNOW what you want. More ships will be added to the pack as time goes on, and something may come along that you absolutely fall in love with.

Second, if you're looking to 'upgrade' from your Manasa, I have two suggestions:
The Kholhr or the JHV Temporal Warship and their fleet variants. Kolhr has standard romulan battlecloak and sing core; JHV version uses a normal warp core and has a slightly-squishy hull. Both are available to all factions - so you can claim the mastery trait and console on every character you own.

You basically trade the experimental weapon for a 3rd aft(omni) weapon and an Intel seat for Temporal mechanics/seats. The Temporal mechanics compensate for the turn rate difference, while also making you faster and granting you access to a respectable death-beam. The console automatically aligns with the faction of your character(+plasma damage for romulans, phaser for feds, etc.) and the active is basically a longer/sustained version of the Vaadwaur console that scales with EPG and ignores shields. The Mastery Trait is also excellent for any ship that runs APB.

well if you ask me there are some absolutely horrendous ships in that pack. So be judicial.

The krenum imperial ship.... why.... anyhow.

Personally, If it was me I would go with an all around approach. What do I like, what do I use, and what can I look at for a long time without hating it.

My choice for my style is always trait first. It literally is the foundation of my ideology. Then I would go with power. So I would look at only the Styx (Amazing anti-boss trait. Finishes everything on the field), The atlas (Best console for phaser dps'er), The Jem dread carrier (Fantastic trait especially when coupled with the beam overload + Intertwined weapon matrices + Torp spread three + Superior aerial denial), Mirror strike wing (Fantastic anti personal trait + a very good experimental weapon.) Th Jiorugomo (Very good trait for a science build), Crossfeild (Trait is terrible, but its a very potent science platform and i like the effects of the spore drive, very shiny specially if you add it with Time To Kill)

The rest is pretty much non starters for me unless I am bored or just looking to mix it up a bit. But be careful of some of these ships like the imperium its trait sounds nice but its overall not good and the ship is not good imho.

But these are all based on my view from a dps bang for the buck build. Not a science or a tank, just pure point and shoot.
Even god rested. No work ethic.

I was planning to get the Atlas Dreadnought and sell it on exchange but I think I will wait for more ships to be added to the pack.
