Would be nice if this ship could use the Nadion Saturation Bomb from Tempest Patrol Escort Refit. Also a T6 Tempest Patrol Escort would be nice, with five fore weapons and three aft including the tail gun. Also make it a pilot ship.
Another suggestion is to come out with a new version of Phantom Intel Escort and Defiant-class. Call it the Phantom X Intel Escort and Defiant X-class Escort with also five fore and two aft with pilot maneuverability.
Still confused why there is no T6 Dyson class ships yet. Those ships definitely need five fore weapons.
Also Phantom-X Intel with pilot maneuvers? So... an Intel ship that is also a Pilot ship? Not gonna happen. We don't have any ships with two full spec mechanics. Any ship that has two different spec seats are not full spec ships themselves.
Even if you could use the Saturation Bomb on the Strike Wing, there would be absolutely no reason to do so. The console used to be very powerful, but it has not aged well and now the damage dealt is absolutely pathetic. You would not want to use this console in the current version of the game.
I like that the Strike Wing is Command instead of Pilot, we have plenty of Pilot Escorts already. Command with a hangar gives it a unique place in the line up.
The Phantom is also fine, it's a full intel ship.. I do wish it was a 5 fore weapon ship, but I don't expect that to happen.
If you want something with Pilot, there are plenty of offerings already available from the original Pilot Bundle to the very impressive Andorian Escorts. They pretty much have the pilot market well covered.
I'm sure they're working on making T6 ships from T5s.
However the Luna is a bit of a grey area I think, considering we don't have a T5 C-Store variant. I'd like to ask AbassadorKael about the status of the Luna sometime. I actually loved the Luna when I was leveling a Science back in the day. When I got the T5 Vesta pack I picked the one that had pretty much the same loadout as the Luna to fly. And apparently one of the T6 Vestas is supposed to be inspired by the Luna, at least lore wise. But we do need an actual T6 Luna sometime.

I seem to remember talk of some IP problem with the Luna that makes it unlikely that they would upgrade the RSVs, though I forget the details atm.
Just like the Vesta, the Luna was a product of the novels, and the design probably not DIRECTLY owned by CBS, but shared with the original designer. I remember hearing about how much of a PITA it was to get the green light to bring the Vesta in game.

Yes, it was a legal pain in the TRIBBLE, but Rademaker was willing to let the ship to be used for the game, so it wasnt a problem with the designer, from what i know.
How's the trait from the Strike Wing Escorts? Is it really as decent as the description makes it sound?
Seems really good to me. Hangar pets benefit from it which, obviously, gives them a little extra punch.
Have to admit, I've really enjoyed the Strike Wing Escort on the character I gave it to; I won an Infinity Lock box prize ship-box at the weekend and opened said box for the Mirror Strike Wing Escort for said character to use as a 'primary' ship.
Unlocked the trait and now have both 'Target that Explosion' and Superior Area Denial' active for the character in question, making the ship's pets (Elite Class-C shuttles) pretty potent!
I havent test it, but class C shuttles does not have torpedo launchers, or it launches anyway??, i tested with the Beacon of Kahless and they do launch aditional torpedoes

Fun Fact. I used the trait with the Romulan pets, and they launch normal photon torpedoes when the proc hits.
That is disappointing. I love seeing my scorpions vomit heavy plasma torpedoes all at the same time, especially on my ship that runs the hyper plasma torp.
My question up there wasn't answered yet, though. How does this trait interact with concentrate firepower when it gives you the free HYT? Boatloads of torpedoes or just the one volley from the actual BOFF power useage?

Hehe that is fun. I got a Suliban carrier that I set up as a Torp spammer. I'll also say that the trait off the Son'a Intel Battlecruiser is entertaining with the Hyper Plasma.

They launch torpedoes anyway.
Yep, the trait doesn't care what a ship's regular weaponry consists of.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.

@rattler2
Can you post that build in skillplanner?
I'm considering to use the T6 coupon for that ship, but for some reason i struggle with potential builds for it.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Want more 5 fore weapon ships, mostly pilot.

There is also already a strike wing escort with pilot seating.
I'd like to see some T6 versions of the original T5s though. The Tempest and Luna are good candidates for sure.

I'm going to unlock it this weekend, RL commitmens desn't give too much time as of late, so, i'll let you know how good it is
I'm curious too, especially as to how it works with concentrate firepower.

Wow!, even better!, thanks!
Holy... buckets...
