I was getting this alot yesterday. Most notably was during Tour of the Galaxy mission, it seemed like every system I was approaching made my ship rubberband.
"There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life." - Ten Bears (Will Sampson)

    Been fine all day here.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I was fine all morning here too, over six accounts (family members) doing two patrols for the shiny.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

Someone over in LOTRO was blaming Disney+ for Internet woes.
'But to be logical is not to be right', and 'nothing' on God's earth could ever 'make it' right!'

    l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'

I did some queued runs earlier today (evening in EU time) and it was a laggy mess.. way worse then what I usually ever see.

I have been playing this evening (US Time) and it seems to be smooth as usual now. It definitely seemed to me like something was up, I was having the issue right around the time this thread was made.
    Insert witty signature line here.

There is a very tenuous connection only in that companies like Akami tend to reshape the part of the internet they control to favor secure streaming of content like movies and whatnot by large companies like Disney and NetFlicks and others over the rapid two-way exchanges between smaller entities that games need. The actual problem is that market forces happen to be in opposition to the needs of gaming.

There is a lot more profit in streaming, advertisement, and shopping than there is in general traffic (which includes gaming) which is why the internet needs to be treated as a utility with neutral rules and not like the proprietary morass the cell phone and cable tv networks are. In fact, eventually gamers will have to pay extra to get access to routes that make reasonably smooth gaming possible (and there are a few companies starting that very service type already), which is really bad for the game industry since the money that would have gone to the game companies would be getting siphoned off by the new gatekeepers.

The EU/UK already has this, which is probably why I don't suffer anywhere near as much with issues, although considering I don't use the proxies and connect directly, I should get more.....weird world!
