TFO improvements

Hello everybody!
First i love STO and i'm playing it since few years ago. Congratulations to the staff of the game!

This is the first of two post that i will use to suggest some changes/improvements in the game so maybe can be keeping in mind.

I like almost all the TFOs of the game but i think can be done some changes to make them even more interesting.

First change can be to allow players to play them alone or with less than 5 players team. Maybe you wish to challenge an entire army alone like in the series or with a single friend. Maybe your character alone or with some of your bridge officers. I'm sure that lot of people wish to challenge enemies in that way. Of course rewards to do TFOs that way must be adjusted in some way.

Two, rewards from TFOs. Now the rewards are tied to a reputation and are focused in their progress over all and in the end, build some equipment. Isn't bad, but after obtained the rewards from that reputation the only interest to continue entering TFOs comes from obtaining dilithium in a easy way. That makes people wish to make some easy TFO as fast as they can making other players be bored in that same TFO. Not sure what can be done to fix that problem (people that only want to do TFO as fast as they can) I think that issue will be really hard to solve.

Also maybe can be changed something in the final reward to make TFO drop some things unique from that TFO. Not necessary equipment, but maybe some vanity toys or, with a very low drop rate, some special object like the ophidian cane or something that way but related to the kind of TFO is done, space or ground. I think that make that each different TFO have also unique exclusive drop, will make people more likely to play some of them that, as for now, are almost impossible to play them even with the endeavor system.

    They just put items like the cane in the C-Store, special tab Mudd's Store
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    The first wish is a long-asked for wish, and always a great idea.

    The second is a bit more complex. There are some TFO's that are faster than others, but the problem that used to happen was everyone gravitated towards them. The creation of the Random TFO system now provides not only the TFO reward, but also a random reward of Marks and Dil, so there is no need to 'fix' anything. I'll also add that now Patrols have a Mark reward, this also addresses this.

    As for your third, Ophidian Cane and it's ilk are all 'one per character' awards, and would not be possible to implement into TFO's as the system would have to be programmed to account for if the player already has the rewards as well as trying to pick a random reward......and most of these are now coming into Mudd's Market.

    This is an MMO and TFOs are designed as teamed content. If you want to play alone or with fewer people, that's what the Patrols are for.

    TFOs used to have rare drops and those were removed with the introduction of the Reputation System. The devs are not going to change that. TFOs also already have some unique rewards in the form of certain Crafting materials being available from certain TFOs. Rewards like the Ophidian Cane are being added to the new Mudd's Market. /Thread
