So do we have any idea what ship we'll get in Winter? We got a Khorne ship last year, so I'm hoping for Tzeentch or Slaanesh. o:)

They said it was going to be big and fek'irhi again. I would assume it will be the Drek'Hi Dreadnought.

Nope, its a new ship, you can see it in

A few seconds into the video
I did say "assume" I could've probably said guess instead though, I didn't outright say it was going to be it. I was right about big and fek'irhi.

Keep in mind this is the 10th anniversary event coming up and you only get one chance to do a 10th anniversary right. Not many MMOs out there get to have a 10th anniversary. So if it is shortened then my money is on the 10th anniversary being the reason. They've been hyping this 10th anniversary event for some time now, for that matter pretty much since last anniversary event. The in-game calendar, especially the tribble one, isn't always the most reliable for exact dates and information and is hit or miss on that point. It can give us ideas of what's coming such as folks who knew about this Breach event beforehand because it leaked on Tribble. However I've seen several times where the in-game calendar shows nothing at all going on and there could be multiple events up at once. Until blogs start dropping and announcements are made, or an official comment is given from someone at Cryptic, the only thing we can do is speculate.

You mean let’s get the hype started? Yehaaaaaaa! B)

*god just think about all those disappointed faces when they find out that Cryptic has us play Days of Doom 14 times in a row to celebrate STO’s 10th anniversary* :p

    Could be worse.

Imagine having to play Battle of Procyon V 14 times in a row ;)

Wasn't what was being asked. What was being asked, was how to do a berserker loadout for the away team. Nobody asked for a tank boff or Ceninne build. Pay attention and keep up.

They were paying attention and keeping up. Here is the common bond, armor for an all berserker away team, improvised polearm for an axe, some swords, etc. Then markhawkman posted a build that was more tank than berserker but maybe an idea to get the start of a berserker build. So he was on point.

Heh, he def wasn't paying attention because he called it "a Ceninne build". Ceninne is the name of the boff in the picture. :p Her build is a mix of offense and defense. Neutronium armor is REALLY tough. But the gloves as a weapon give the enemy a resist debuff. Dylovene gives a large damage boost, but also increased HP. Interphase decay gives a resist penalty, and does direct damage. Technical mishap is ranged damage, but also triggers the movement speed buff on the Sompek shield so she can close to melee range faster. Vascular regen is her only purely defensive power. I did give her that Pahvan healing crystal device though. :p

The neutronium armor doesn't offer anything for a "berserker" build. Berserker build is all about the offense, not soaking damage. Because the berserker just cares about putting as much hurt on something as quick as possible, but not sneaky like an assassin build. Gap closers, hyperspecializing the offense.

Lunge, Motion Accelerator, Rally Cry, even stuff like Sweeping Strikes. The Tzenkethi armor. If you don't feel like burning lobi to deck out your away team, go with Shattering Harmonics set or craft the Physical/Recoil armors. These are tools for a berserker build. If Markhawkman's idea is the start for a berserker build, it's a terrible one. There's not a single stat on the Neutronium Laced Combat Armor that boosts any offensive stat. No set bonus for boosting offense on any gear. So in what world, does someone make a tank build and then say they idenitfy as transberserker?

what does berserker build have to do with Q's winter wonderland?

I'd enjoy the hell out of that, and I'd run it without Trellium D console just as a personal test to see if I can do it without any deaths.
I've never run that WITH a Trellium console, soooo... biz as usual.
what does berserker build have to do with Q's winter wonderland?
Someone said the next QWW ship looks like a ship that Khorne cultists would fly, so people started talking about the sort of ground combat builds Khorne cultists("berserkers") would use. My build was a science officer doing melee, not a tac, so it has a different skill set than Ichaerus was thinking of.

Also it'd be pretty easy to change the armor, since nothing in the build specifically requires it. I used Neut since the character(Varan'ika) who has Ceninne uses her as a living decoy. His theme is being a Yautja-like hunter. I tested the build by hunting the mutant Hur'q in the GQ story, and various dinos. She tanked the Hur'q with ease and even managed to tank Rex Bazratat.

Yes, that guy. :p Obviously this isn't a picture of Varan'ika or Ceninne, it's just the only one I had of me fighting Rex Bazratat.

3 of her 4 actual skills are damage oriented though. Enemies just aren't gonna pay attention unless you hit them hard enough it hurts. :p

Yeah, my Federation characters especially love the part where we do a home invasion against the indigenous sapient species on behalf of a hostile invading force to murder him and steal his holiday stuff, because that's the sort of thing that Federation officers do!

if this part of vanilla had a like feature, i would totally give you a thumbs up for being one of the few people on the planet who knows the difference between sentient and sapient and uses the term correctly

Yep, shame he doesn't understand what indigenous means though!

The missions actually revolve around protecting indigenous 'species' from invaders.

And if this is in reference to the Kramp'Ihri mission in particular:

Chase off Kramp'Ihri as many times as you can in: 5:00
    Times Kramp'Ihri chased away: (X)
    Gingerbread People Freed: (X)

Note that the (indigenous) Gingerbread people are being terrorised by Kramp and his tortured elves. How this is interpreted as a 'home invasion' by the Federation, I have no idea!

And now I just realised, I've actually spent part of my weekend arguing over the indigenous rights of Gingerbread people.

Time to get some fresh air!

That little escort used to be a royal pain in the backside. Besides, too many honking colossal ships already.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Could be referring to the Snorg invasion against the Ginderbread people. And one could argue that the Snorg, being made of snow, are more indigenous than the Gingerbread people.
