Dyson sphere

SO I made it to the Dyson Sphere... It feels like a grind zone. I completed several of the missions and got rewards after. but instead of having a "replay" tab there are the tabs for doing the mission for the first time or "Skip" The battle against the Undine gives good swag, but yeah... The arc doesn't feel like its progressing right... Am I missing something?

it is a grind zone, alot of the missions in the dyson arc are tutorials for battlezones as the dyson ones were the first ones.

if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

Ok, that makes sense now. The switch in format was... abrupt. Im not sure Im gonna like the Admiralty. Im a pretty much PvE player and like playing solo, mostly cause Im old and have slow reflexes. but also cause I am very much old school and set in my ways. On a side note, if you are running out of Rum may I suggest switching to Vodka... It works for me.

It's a Space Battlezone, one of a few in game. There are many mini-missions in there.

    Other Battlezones are:-

Space: Voth Battlezone & Undine Battlezone (Both also in that Dyson Sphere), Badlands, and Gon'cra. Gamma Quadrant is one, but with a different take on it.

    Ground: Nukara, Defera and Kobali.

If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

I love the Undine Space Battlezone.. it's not great for high powered builds because the combat there is so easy, but I love the way the zone is done.

The Undine Zone and the Terran Badlands are two of my favorite places. I'm a big fan of Battlezones.

Considering how high level some of the participants are compared to me in My Defiant... Yeah, I only have to hit an enemy once to have some credit being in the battle. the gear so far has been good for me...

Should be noted that Gon'cra battlezone (or the Tzekethi Battlezone) is a bit oddly balanced so it can be nearly impossible to beat most of the time. If there's enough people it's not too bad but there's rarely enough people.

Gon'cra completely and totally sucks, so does the Gamma Quadrant Battlezone.

It's baffling how they got it so right with the first 2 Battlezone's and then decided to change the formula. The last 2 Battlezone's they have done have been completely terrible. They need to go back to their roots and make a new one using the classic formula.

I can "win" the goncra point where you turn th three zones blue. to get the credit all you have to do is keep one zone turned. 2 ships can keep all three turned pretty easily. the biggest mistake I see there are sci ships tossing gravity wells. yo get the tzenkethi ships bunched and thier shields re-enforce each other and it's a bear to kill them..
the undine and voth zones in the Sphere are great not only for getting the respective marks but a pretty decent dilithium grind too.

I woul have thought you would applaud the difficulty bump of those battlezones.

Yeah the Dyson "story" is very light because it was the first space battlezone and the focus was on putting a lot of repetitive stuff to do there. Part of the story is tied up in the Reputation system as well. If you continue following the storyline though, I don't think you will run into another battlezone, just story episodes, but you will eventually run out of them, and may want to play in the battlezones anyway.

Sounds like I'll be starting over again and again. I'm really not a battlezone type. I have a few favorite grind missions to test a build or get gear/Cash, but Im not into proving myself vs other players, working with can be fun, I haven't been in a group in a game for... almost a decade?!

You only have to do the battlezone parts once to progress, but you do need to turn in wrapper / tutuorial mission 1 and possibly go talk to someone on the ground before you progress to wrapper mission 2, and so on. If you skip turning in and talking, moving on to the next zone doesn't count for the progression.

Once you do all of that once including the two space battle zones and the one ground battle zone, you get to A Step Between Stars which is a full story episode with Tuvok.

Tip: The starting point for the Undine space battle zone (the second space zone) has some great Duty Officer missions with high point values.

I concur with this. I go in there and stock up on the DOFF missions before heading into the zone itself.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D
