Need some information on R&D ships.

Been away from the game for some time, so I do not remember this. Is the R&D ships account wide or not?
Tried to google it, but found no good info on this.

You mean the ships from opening boxes? No those are never account wide. Wish they were but they aren't.

No, they are a single character unlock just like lock box and lobi ships. :disappointed:

Just as I thought then... What a shame...

I really hate that R&D ships are a thing. I have zero desire for R&D packs. Just sell the stupid ships in the Zen store.

Yup, single ship. I wish they were at least BoA so you could pass it around to your alts.

    That would be really nice.

Also, odds are 1 in 100, and if you have 100 unopened packs your chance of getting at least one ship is 67%. That number goes down with every opened pack since probability has no memory (see: Gambler's Fallacy).

If instead you sold those 100 packs on the exchange you would have 1.5 - 1.6 billion EC (depending on your timing) and could buy the ship from the exchange with 100% chance of success and a few hundred million EC left over.

The ships are single character unlocks only. If for example you wanted the new Franklin on more than one toon, you would need more than one pack. It sucks if you want more than one copy of a ship but that's the way it's been for some time. The promo ships like box and lobi are meant to be more rare. If you want one I would advise saving EC and just buy the one you want. I don't advise opening the promo packs themselves unless you just want the R&D mats and/or the lobi.

That would defeat the purpose of the packs at that point. With that said, you can't move the infinity pack itself into your account bank or so on. However you can break the infinity pack into whatever ship you want, and then give that pack for the specific ship to the toon of choice. Such as me cracking a Franklin from the infinity pack on my main, then moving the Franklin to via the account bank to an alt. That's the closest you'll get to the actual unpacked ship being account bound.

That was a bad change, where they made the Infinity Ship Choice Packs unbound to Bind to Character.
