Hello New Character Slot!

Been away for a bit; did I miss a new Faction? Or something? Upon my return I was pleasantly surprised to a New Character Slot on my account.
I have perused both the News Page and News & Announcements forums and can't find anything about it. Disco was still the newest faction listed in Character Creation.
I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth; merely curious as to the occasion for it.

    I think we got slot when ViL released and when Discovery released

    If you were using a character slot for Foundry...you should have got all those back, too.

    After Disco was added. And not Foundry (as far as I know; I wasn't using any slot for it).

    I do not remember getting any for DSC though I suppose it is possible and I just lost count of the spares that I bought. They definitely gave out a slot for ViL though.

    They always give one free slot whenever a new faction is released.

    Interesting that you mentioned some players reported got getting their Foundry character slots back after the Foundry closed down. There is a thread in Star Trek Online General Discussion about that.

    As for the new character slot, it had to with testing the Character Creator interface which is still a work in-progress.
