I can't name a single person who does for the TV shows, the movies yes but not the shows, and not even all of the movies.
TOS
TAS
TNG
DS9
VOY
ENT
DSC
Not a single "ST" in the bunch.
TMP
TWOK
TSFS
TVH
TFF
TUC
Still none.
GEN
FC
INS
NEM
Nada.
ST09
STID
STB
The Kelvin films are the only ones.
Everyone you can name must spend an awful lot of time explaining WTH they're talking about, then (or only use ST-exclusive forums).
Incidentally, I don't think I've ever seen most of those abbreviations for the movies at all. The TOS movies other than the first are almost always known by their number (sometimes even the first, though it doesn't officially have a number). Nor have I ever seen the TNG movies shortened to anything other than STG, STFC, STI and STN.
I'm curious if the game will get a bit of a visual reboot. With the new show taking place around 10 years before the STO timeline - will the Odyssey uniform be replaced with the now canon Picard show uniform for example?

I used to hate the way sto did these eras like a short mini series, but the more I thought it about it, the more I realized it made sense. Think about it your going to split your population each time if you go full blown in one era. This being said I still think they should have made the Romulan Republic a stand alone faction, as for the pvp issue, my thought has always been to have the Romulan players play the winner of a Fed vrs Kdf pvp match. I know that time has long sense passed. I agree if they do do something it will most likely be ships/costumes.

Starfleet Academy, Ceti Alpha V, Lower Decks, none of those would make for a particularly great in-game story arc, just based on what we know of their premises.
From what I've heard about in reguards to lower decks, with the major events the ship experiences being in the background, and the star characters focusing on minor stuff, it would likely have tons of unresolved plot hooks to explore.
Its too early to say for Section 31, but spies usually are surrounded by secrets.
Starfleet Academy we know too little about, almost nothing more then showrunners and name.
I'm not sure that they have any plans to do Ceti Alpha V anymore.
The Nicklodeon Star Trek could have some exploitable plothooks.
But either way they likely will wait to do a Picard season till at least closer to Picard season 2, with the next plotlines for STO revolving around Mirror Universal Admiral Leeta.

In the new Picard Lockbox, you mean?
They didn't put all the Discovery costumes in lockboxes, so I doubt they'll do that with costumes from Picard.
On the academy thought, while they are unlikely to send player captains back for training (unless very specialised for some new threat), they might well send us back as trainers. The captains who beat the iconians, the hurq etc... All valuable experience for the next generation...
what little i have gleaned about Picard is that Stewart is not interested in another starship captain gig. he's an admiral disenchanted with what happened.. and presumably retired. i suspect it will be more of an ambassaor to the recovering Romulan star empire or fledgling Romulan Republic
