I'm on console and think that a Tier 6 ship "blank" or template that was completely customizable allowing you to select everything about its infrastructure from the hull to the nacelles of your choice, in effect Frankensteining something previously unseen within canon whatsover; and as a bonus choosing the starship traits, weapons, etc. based upon your playstyle. That would be interesting!

Beyond that Space Warfare Specialist Boffs for Federation!

The thing about endeavors is that a lot of people don't want to do ground endeavors, and if you get something like "Do a Lukari TFO" then all the peoiple who picked 'random' complain vehemently and violently about it and start leaving the queue so it doesn't get done.
  • echattyechatty Member Posts: 5,913 Arc User
I'll do ground as long as it's do <x energy damage (ground)>, or Dewan arthropods or Gorn (on Nimbus). I do all of that on Nimbus because it's the easiest ground to get that kind of thing done.

Terran (ground) is a bit more complicated. I don't like ground TFOs because I suck at ground. So I replay Jabberwocky however many times I need to get Terran ground done. It's 10 each time, so getting it as the first or second endeavor is easier than getting it as the Hard one.

Just play it till you kill all the Terrans, then warp out and back in until you get however many you need.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

I have 'Illusion of Communication' at the point the Ground Mission starts. Kill all the Terrans I need and leave. Repeat for the next time.

    > Race, sex, allegiance change token

I think a change of allegiance would be too complicated to manage, not only because STO is coded for have two main factions and no possibility to change between, but also because a captain own too much things exclusive to their allegiance, like:
    -Boff/Doff
    -Ships
    -Ship's consol
    -Ship's mastery
-space weapon (like KDF fleet elite)
-inventory stuff like bridge officer in waiting, prisoners, freighter call, targ combat pet
    -reputation gear
    -Accolades
-missions in the layer and mission completion
    -race of the captain

How all of that would be managed? And if a problem happen how the support would be able to answer to many call for help?

Space Warfare Specialist Boffs for Federation!

I'm on console too and second this suggestion.

I have long wanted those "no longer available" but still listed in the bridge officer vendor store anyway Veteran Space Warfare Specialists. I mean you could have been one of the small number of folks who went to the expo and got that holographic Julian Bashir (who is also a Space Warfare Specialist), but if not ...... grrr, aargh ...... out of luck once again?

They are Ultimate. One of those, 10 Featured TFO Tokens and, when applicable, 500 progress toward the free T6 C-Store Ship Token.

With the 25% off Sale going on right now, those Ship Gift Tokens are 2,250 and not 3,000 Zen. Rainy day maybe?

"Most of the Borg ships have no defined front. It would be way too easy for players to get lost flying one as they don't bank. Well... all but the Probe anyways.
The Devs experimented with it in the past I believe, and there is also anyone who's played Star Trek Legacy and tried the Borg ships in Skirmish mode. I know I got turned around not knowing which way was forward."

I've heard a lot of reasons why they aren't in the game, but that reason is the best reason why. There is work arounds for that though. A HUD change, or fake HUD change, where it gives some sort of graphics to show the orientation of the front, would work for that. That might be too complex for 1 or 2 ships, but my college degree with its minor in business admin is just screaming at me that the work hours devoted to making that happen will net gains from people buying a borg ship. Even if its not a 2 hangar carrier, the whole reason I originally made this post (for the very slim chance that someone from the game might see this and start making a 2 hangar carrier for the Klingon faction), I would probably buy it because who doesn't love the borg? It's the realistic and sci-fi version of zombies!

Can you imagine how confused players would be if they could fly Borg Cubes in the old Exploration Clusters. 'Oh, the humanity'. ;)

I would love to see the Ultimate Upgrades sold individually in the C-Store.

They would also make a great EC sink as in game vendor. I would pay millions per without blinking an eye.

For the change of HUD, they can display a white cone (with transparency) on the 2D logo of the ship, the orientation changing depending of the camera direction from the main view?

Another subject, that I not reacted until now, because I respect people and their opinion. This subject make me angry, it's how much people want P2W content, like tech upgrade or easy way to get even more Dilithium and reputation completion from the shop.
I think these people don't know MMO fundamentals, like farming and time gate for keep player base on the game for long term.
If you people don't like farm at all, no matter if the activity is fun and want to have all consoles, equipments, skills, mastery and ships, all full epic and XV without pass time on the game, I think you are not on the good game genre for that.

If people not need to log in and play the game the MMO genre will simply die.

It feels like this is intended to be judgmental and insulting, but fortunately it make so little sense it's hard to actually take the bait.

Re: STV/STVI bridges: Wasn't the bridge a bit different from 5 in 6? I thought it was more touchscreen based in 5, then went to faders and buttons in 6. Probably after complaint that it was 'too close' to the TNG bridge which was supposed to be 80 years in the future.

    Probably the Bajoran Interceptor too.
I would argue both are military hardware, but of a minor power. The Interceptor was a design the Bajorans used before the Cardassians blew up their space fleet. At the time it was a Bajoran military vessel.

Not sure who designed the Maquis Raider.

Not sure who designed the Maquis Raider.

In DS9 we saw later on that the more modern looking fighter craft first introduced with the Maquis were used as a standard and wide spread instrument by Starfleet for the engagements of the Dominion war.

I would conclude that the more classic looking raider is nothing but an older version of such fighter crafts or patrol ships designed by Starfleet and simply hijacked by the Maquis.

If one watches the Intro of the Voyager Pilot one sees Tuvok working on panels which have the exact same look as Starfleet ships had 50 years or so earlier which would correspond with that theory. :)

Yeah, me too - and to be honest I'm surprised that they haven't already done this; I strongly suspect they'd be ridiculously popular and would prove to be a bit of a cash-cow.

I often have discussions with friends and fleet about how annoying it is to have to wait for a phoenix box event (since the phoenix upgrades are the only time can really taking upgrading seriously) and again, the R&D upgrades are a total waste of time and resources.

Now this I can go along with. I'd be willing to slide a bit of dinero to get my hands on some Ultimate Upgrades.

Resident TOS, G.I. Joe, Transformers and hair metal fangirl.

And knowing is half the battle!

And all at the scale depicted too! Some of the bridges that we do have are like arenas, I have to imagine the captains get tired of yelling their instructions at the top of their voices all of the time?

While I think the concept is pretty sketchy and honestly it should be part of the ships anyway. As it currently stands having an item available via Zen which would unlock character limited ships (e.g. Lobi, Lock-box, R&D promo) for the entire account would be preferable to not having it at all.

I would like to see TMP era bridges. Not full interiors, these are quite useless and expensive tbh, just the bridges each for e.g. 500 Zen.
Would certainly buy the bridge of the Enterprise A from The Undiscovered Country and the Enterprise B bridge from Generations.

I think there is no point in me saying I would like to see a T6 Luna or Nova since we will get it someday…

I just thought of another thing:

    Starship traits without starship.
    All of them.
I find it quite disgusting that some useful traits are locked behind an utterly stupid paywall. E.g. Area Denial being part of a Lobi ship… I don't want that Mirror Carrier but I want that trait but not for 450 million...
