I'm more interested in Hestia than Jupiter.
If I really want to play Carrier, then I go for Vanguard Jem'Hadar one - with full console set it gives you… I think it was 7 combat pets? And all gunboat/frigate sized straight from the store (Jupiter comes with fighter hangars from the store I think).
I wish we would get some combat drone universal console or device from future event.

there is the Defensive Drone Guardians console from the Privateer lockbox.

I basically hope they do this T6 coupon event at least once per year

Same here, it is often the only way to get faction T6 ships (especially Romulan) on a budget.

IF this test run is a success, then it's likely we could see it run again next year ;)
People ask how long have I been playing STO - well the answer is simple: I have been here since the beginning. I just haven't always had a lot to say.

But the definition of a "player" success, compared to what the devs classify as a success, can be very different. The playerbase may love it, but if it causes too much of a drop in C Store sales, it might be financially not viable.

The playerbase will need to consider that. What might be good for us, might not actually be good for us.

I was surprised they did this even once.

If they do another one in the future, great.. but I am certainly not expecting it.

Its why I think only once per year may be viable.

Hi guys, this may sound silly but I returned to the game recently and off course I was not able to finish the run for the T6 Ship but for what I read, this promotion was going to last till fall (so september?) so my question is, this is over? My 1500 points are useless?
Is Cryptic releasing another featured TFO in order to continue gathering points?

    Anyway, thanks.

There was a recent 'auto complete' system put in place for any legacy unfinished promo q's. I'm unsure if it applies to the most current T6 offer, or if it's now passed. I think it was just prior to the T6 offer though. Sorry could not be more help.

You will be able to continue next featured TFO(my guess is after summer event). It seems they do at least one weekend of double featured TFOs coupons per Event which is 100 per day instead 50 during these days. Also during next featured TFO logically an item will be in C-store that gives like 500 progress(I dont remember exact) and a universal upgrade item(brings anything to epic and max mark so its worth it). This pack may be useful to you if you see there is no other way to get the 3k points in time

The Devs said there would be three featured TFO events to collect vouchers towards the Token. So we have one more event left for the year. They also mentioned that this was a trial run of something they want to run on a yearly basis, but whether it would happen again would depend on how popular it was, and how well it worked.

Like others, I'll probably use it on a non-bundle ship where Cryptic wants full price for it. Boo! :D Or the Science Andorian Pilot ship. Not a huge fan of pilot ships so will probably never buy the 3 or 9 ship bundle. And the Grav Well trait sounds good.

The events are 3 weeks long (21 days.)

You can run them once every 20 hours for 50 coupons a day.

There is usually one 'Double Coupon' weekend per event where you get 100 instead of 50.

Unfortunately, if you did all 21 days and hit all 5 days on the double weekend (Thursday-Monday) you would still be at a max of 2500, so you're not going to make it.

You have one option though, when the event starts.. you can usually do a buy out that gives you 14 days worth of progress. If you do the buyout, and play the event.. you'll make it.

It's still a good deal, you're basically getting a T6 ship for the price of the buyout and you get an Ultimate upgrade as well.

So far, each featured TFO event has had two bonus weekends - one at the start, and one during the final weekend of the event. Doesn't mean the final one this year will. But as we can only use the evidence we have before us, there is a high chance of the final one having 10 bonus days as well.

Yep, more then likely there will be 2 Double Weekends.. that's assuming the trend holds up.

Still though, if we break it down..

The event runs for 21 days at 50 coupons per day. With no double points, this is 1050pts over the course of the event.

Double Point Weekends start on Thursday after the patch and run until 10am PST on Monday. So if you time it right, you can get 5 days in for 100 points each. If we assume that there will be 2 double weekends, that's 10 days of 100 points for 1000 coupons.

Assuming he gets all those (1000) and then runs every one of the remaining 11 days at 50 each (550) that's a total of 1550 coupons.

    He currently has 1200 Coupons.

1550 + 1200 = 2750 putting him 250 shy even if he does it perfectly.

He is going to need the buyout to get the free ship. :disappointed:

    I know. It is sad.

Interesting side note: my first run through I ended up with 1600 vouchers. I played it once a day, hit all 10 of the bonus days. BUT because of when the event finished in my timezone, I got 22 days of play out of it. It started 5pm on a Thursday and finished 2pm on a Thursday three weeks later.

    Thanks all for your replies!

I would probably go for the buyout if not too expensive, I have some zen stored.

My kind of play is casual, I used to be a hardcore player back in the day, now I just basically watch Star Trek, I feel the urge to play and do some Episodes.

I still have my old builds, most of them effective for TFOs and Episodes but I was excited about the possibility of getting an extra ship.

    Warm regards to all!

This is not the case for me. I own the Tactical pilot escort, but I'm unable to buy the 3 pack of Federation escorts.

    K

The Token can be redeemed for ONE T6 ship only, it cannot be used as part payment for a pack. The Devs were very clear on that. They were also clear on the other restrictions, which is why I would advise the following: once you get the Token, read the info on it, look at the original Dev post, and check the forum.

I am well aware of that. I was replying to point out that pack restrictions have not been completely removed if you buy one ship from the pack.

I still have a little bit to go since I missed a few token days. But I'm really excited about this, but I also haven't been able to decide what ship to get. I had bought the Scott Operations Miracle Worker and since I've really like the ship and it's part of a 3 pack. I'm thinking of getting the one of it's sister ships Scott Miracle Worker.

If you have not made up your mind yet I’d consider the Tucker MW cruiser. Reason is the “Redirecting Arrays“ starship trait which is one of the default trait options for most high performing beam boats. The ship itself is strong as well and I have been using it as PvE tank on one of my toons ever since it was released.

It is certainly true that breaking packs is not the smartest thing to do from an economic stand point but in case of the MW cruiser pack the Tucker turned out to give all that I needed from them in the long run.

Of course things change a bit if you have fed as well as kdf toons but that’s still only 2 out of 9 ships. :)
