What Would You Ask Rehka Sharma?

ambassadorkael#6946 ambassadorkael Member, Administrator Posts: 2,674 Community Manager
Hypothetically, say, we were going to be talking to Rehka Sharma in a couple of days. And hypothetically, we would have the opportunity to ask some of your questions while we were talking to her. What would you want to ask?

Like special weapons from other Star Trek games? Wondering if they can be replicated in STO even a little bit? Check this out: https://forum.arcgames.com/startrekonline/discussion/1262277/a-mostly-comprehensive-guide-to-star-trek-videogame-special-weapons-and-their-sto-equivalents

I loved your work on rBSG as Tori Foster, and that whole arc you played alongside Aaron Douglas, Mike Trucco, Mike Hogan, Nicki Clyne and James Callis. Tori was a well thought out and well acted by yourself. I always wanted to know what it was like working with Ed Olmos, Michael Hogan, Mary McDonnell, James Callis and especially Aaron Douglas.

I've always wondered about the Landry character though, Commander Ellen Landry (from the Prime universe) had a short life in ST Discovery and her Terran counterpart worked with Lorca but was attacked by Lorca during a brutal fight scene and that is last we saw of her. Could you give some hints as to the type of person the Terran Landry character is and have you given any input into the direction Terran Landry will take on STO?

If Prime and Mirror Landry were to go toe to toe, who would walk out the winner?
Landry has that tough no-nonsense edge to her in both universes

What's with the asymmetrical collars on Star Trek:Discovery 'Prime' timeline?

If the previous can't be answered, then the next question i have:

How did you feel about Commander Landry and her role in the prime universe? and is the Terran Landry a sort of redemption arc to explore out a different star trek character, assuming she is still alive after being attacked by Lorca?

If you're character from season 1 of Arrow returned as a supervillain, what powers would you want her to have?

I believe we're talking about the actress who played Landry. And thus... what questions would we like her to answer.

Maybe because a lot of Star Trek fans won't watch S-T-D or the rebooted BSG. That being the case she's just some actress out of some shows folk don't watch. Why would they know who she is or the context to ask her anything? Now if ambassadorkael had mentioned an actor or writer that we've actually heard of - ST or not, then we could actually have a discussion.

Attempt 2 - This forum ate my last post.

Many ST fans won't watch ST|) or the rebooted BSG. That being the case you're referring to some actress from some shows folk don't watch. Since they have no clue who she is there's no context in which to ask her anything (I didn't even know gender until you clarified). Now if ambassadorkael had referenced an actor\actress or author\authress (authoress?) that we've actually heard of we could have a discussion.

The shows ethics differ to earlier series, and then there's the Klingons. Oh and the political element too come to think of it. Odds are there's other issues but that'd require paying attention to it. Much simpler to try to act as if it doesn't exist.

Oh I absolutely watch DSC, can't imagine a good reason not to that does not also apply to every other incarnation of Trek in exactly equal measure. Had the post by Kael made reference to her DSC character I would have known who it was immediately.

More neutral-left in the past I'd say. I remember an old episode for instance that included Christians on a Roman world - don't ask which episode or what the story was about, the ethics were more mainstream, and I don't recall politics being pushed. Contrast that with ST:D where they're promoting lifestyle choice and as I understand it, Hard Left politics.

As for Trek being socialist, not entirely. Influenced by socialism yes, but the economy is somewhat ambiguous - there's near unlimited energy so basics tend to be covered, at least in later eras. During TOS the frontier hard scrabble element still existed.

TRIBBLE. Star Trek has always been political, and always left leaning, the Federation is a Socialist Democracy and always has been. The "ethics" have not changed. The Klingons have changed with every incarnation.

I would ask her how she felt about having been written out so swiftly from Discovery? I think that I would have preferred that she stuck around longer.
