R&D confusion

So. The R&D promo event on ps4 hit on Tuesday the 16th. The prices for the boxes? 240 for 1 and 800 for 4. I remember this very clearly as I bought a few and my armada was talking about it. Today I get on the see "20% off R&D promo boxes"....and all the prices are exactly the same.....so needless to say a few of us are slightly confused....

We are also raging over the stupid rng ov this game. One guy opened 4 packs and got 4 T6 ship packs IN A ROW. Meanwhile another guy has opened nearly 100 and gotten nothing.

    240 and 800 are the discount prices. And yeah you should never rely on lootboxes to win anything in this game. The odds are around 1% to win the Promotional ship.

    The promo hit early....nothing to complain about seeing that it's 300 and 1000 for the normal packs.

    Not complaining, just checking. I've not done a R&D event before so I didnt know that

    You have a microscopic chance of getting the ship from the pack. You have a 100% chance of getting it from the exchange. So if you want to gamble, that's fine, but you can't complain afterwards. On the other hand, if you want a guaranteed way to get the ship buy the R&D packs, sell them on the exchange for EC, then use that EC to buy the ship you want on the exchange.
