We all know that the DSC Connie is on its way in-game and that it would have been here by now were it not for the fact that Season 2 has an episode left and the Devs are waiting to see if there are any surprises in store. What I'd like to know it what everyone thinks might be included in the ship once it gets in game. So go wild and let's talk shop!
Personally, when I saw the differences in weapon ranges between Enterprise and everyone else on a screenshot this morning I was struck with an idea. A unique Phaser Array or Photon Torpedo only allowed 1 per ship with a 12km range. There's only one weapon currently in game that does this and that's the Hirogen Tetryon Sniper Cannon (I think that's what it is called). They'd be visually similar to the TOS Phasers or Photons, but just different enough to distinguish between the two.
With this 12km range should come some limitations though, perhaps a narrow firing arc similar to DHCannons or a minimum range of 2-5km so it can't be used all the time.
There is a Long Range Destablised Tetryon Heavy Cannon in the Lobi Store that has a 12 Km range so that is theoretically not out in left field.

No idea about stats. One thing is for sure, it will be in a box. Possibly lockbox, but probably R&D. Regarding the latter, possibly as a skin to the existing TOS light cruiser, but probably a new ship. Just in case I cashed in a ton of dil to promo packs to EC and have slightly over 2bil waiting for both the disco connie and disco d7. Let the fun begin.
How do you know that the mirror crossfield replaced it? I'd b happy with a skin tbh
Same here. I mean they already did give the Connie not only a revamp on the model for the standard and refit, but also added in the Pilot beta version.
It'll be a 'Miracle Worker' 5/3 Battlecruiser. As for extra range weapons...really should only be torpedoes, energy weapons bleed off with distance....but we know Cryptic doesn't do physics

Anyway, what ideas can you come up with?
There's already a long ranged console(Projected Singularity console has a firing range past 10km), a Long Ranged Destabilizing Tetryon Heavy Cannon(the Hirogen lobi tetryon burn cannon, 12km range with no damage dropoff from range, 3 second cycling time, and 180 degree arc), and projectile(Bio-Neural Warhead has a 15km range with a 3km minimum firing range, but also a long firing cooldown, from the tricobalt side of the hybrid TCD/AP projectile).
I say no to the Phaser Array. Phasers already have widespread options that many others don't(such as the Terran Task Force set weapon). If you're wanting narrow firing arcs, load up on DCs, DHCs, or DBBs.
My idea is to make the EssTeeDee Enterprise a skin unlock(similar to shield visuals), only found in a R&D Promo box. Or if as a ship, 4/4 cruiser(not battlecruiser, and not 5/3) with Command and/or Miracle Worker seats on lower end BOFF seats(not full MW or Command). Also in a R&D Promo box.
The Tier 6 Constitution Class Light Cruiser was the first Triple-Lt.Cmdr ship. The Jem'Hadar Light Battlecruiser was the first ship with a Dual Commander seating. Inspired by this, I go crazy.
Starship Class Deep Space Exploration Cruiser (T6)
(I pick the name "Starship" class because that's what it says on the Enterprise's dedication plaque, even though canon states nowadays it's Constitution Class.
Bridge Officer Seating
Shield Modifier: 1.2
Hull Modifier: 1.4
Turn Rate: 9
Commander Engineering
Commander Universal
Lt.Science|Miracle Worker
Lt.Tactical|Command
Ensign Universal|Miracle Worker
Consoles: 4 Engineering, 3 Science, 4 Tactical
Bonus Power: +5 all Power Levels
Weapon Slots: 5 Front, 3 Aft
Device Slots: 4
Universal Console: Tactical Flyers
Passive: Gain +3 to all Power Levels
Active: You launch 8 tactical flyers. They will attack your current target or the nearest enemy with phaser beams and target subsystems (weapons) for the next 30 seconds.
Starship Mastery Trait: Starfleet's Promise
Whenever you or an ally within 10 km is reduced to 50 % or less hull, the target gains an aura of Starfleet's Promise for 15 seconds. This effect can occur only once every 30 seconds per target. The target and all allies within the aura gain a +10 % bonus to all outgoing heals, and increase the recharge rate of all hull and shield healing powers by 25%. Multiple Promises stack, up to a maximum of +50 % to outgoing heals and a +100 % recharge rate.
Dual Commander Seat, but no Lt.Cmdr seat, but all lower ranked seats have a spec ability.
Alternate Trait Ideas
Starship Mastery Trait: Service, Sacrifice, Compassion And Love
When activating Subspace Interception, Needs of the Many, Reroute to Hull Containment or Align Shield Frequencies, all your hull and shield healing powers lower their remaining cooldowns by 5 seconds, and you gain a +20 % for all outgoing hull and shield heals for the next 15 seconds. This effect can occur only once very 10 seconds.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
After the last episode, I wonder if it will be a carrier, or have at least one hangar deck?
I wonder that, too. But it seems it would be weird, since there seems to be only one instance in the history of the ship where it had a small shuttle fleet to defend itself. That's why my suggestion above only turns it into a console.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
Remember Enterprise was undergoing a Refit. It may have dragged along a plethora of Shuttles and Worker Bees on this emergency mission.

i bet its special console/trait will have something to do with a hanger judging last episode. I hope it doesnt have the same style of seating as the TLC, dont want to get the same ship twice on the same character.
RnD box 100% it will have d7 counterpart too, this was basically confirmed in a live stream a few weeks back.

R&D more likely, it was supposed to be in the R&D box that the Mirror Crossfield was released in, but it got pushed back.
We already know CBS has a rule regarding the Connie and its availability in-game.
100% without a doubt R&D pack, there's no reason to believe Cryptic won't put it out in the most expensive to aquire package possible along with the TOS Connie and the 2 Discoverys.
And no we don't know CBS has that rule, all I've seen is forum goers saying it. I find it much more likely Cryptic simply knows people are going to shell out absurd levels of $$ to get it and this is their best short term money gain on the big ships. If you can point me to something from a Dev stating that CBS has said they could produce these ships but they have to be behind the games largest paywall to ensure maximum money gains.. er i mean 'rarity' than maybe I'll change my stance on it, but I find the idea preposterous.
which seems far more likely?
Cryptic - These ship licenses are expensive, and these people just shelled out tons on the dreadnoughts. Lets put the Connies in the RD box for max $$
CBS - Yes this board room of execs has decided that in your star trek online game that the Constitution class of starships should be really rare since it's main line ship. No these people have no idea about your game but we've all decided we can't be breaking a canon feel and thus your licenses is provisioned with a rarity cause. Please make sure you make it so expensive to acquire that it will meet this rarity
I'm not watching DSC series, but I've heard that the story is based on the timeline before to that of Cap Kirk,
so we have in the game Kevin that is from the universe altered (movie) and the temporal R&D that is from the original universe, here is the question:
if the Enterprise was from Pike and then was passed to Kirk means the Temporal R&D is the DSC Connie in the end, no?
Cryptic - These ship licenses are expensive, and these people just shelled out tons on the dreadnoughts. Lets put the Connies in the RD box for max $$
Were this true, Cryptic would have tossed it into the very first R&D or Lockbox back in 2012. The T6 TOS Connie was not released until 2016.
Or do you believe Cryptic execs sat around saying "let's pass up a lot of money just because"?
More Cryptic waited for a perfect opportunity to see how they preform before putting a T6 Connie in game, why would they throw all their eggs in one basket for the short term whebn they are playing the long game
It was said over and over that CBS was blocking them from making an end-game Connie. What changed in 2016 was CBS now wanted to promote their upcoming new show(s), and allowing it then both celebrated the anniversary and accomplished their PR goal. The exact same thing happened when the KT ships were added to the game - Paramount was suddenly willing to allow their property to be used once it was useful as a cross promotion for one of their movies.
Once you start thinking of this stuff from a business perspective, it gets pretty clear.
The DisConnie and DiscoD7 are in a different boat - they have the rights to put them out whenever they want, but they wanted to wait for the end of the season so they could make sure any cool stuff that happens during the show could be added if they felt like it. Same with the Section 31 ships.
Hopefully with less glare and not so shiny, I'd have to play wearing sunglasses.
I'd be for toning down the shininess too. Doesn't quite look "lived in" to me.

Well, remember - per the ST: D storyline it just had a major refit/repair job completed at ESD. IE- I'm sure they gave it a wash and a wax inside and out.

The original was no T5 (end-game at the time). That eventually became T6.
[Start Alternate Reality] Les Moonves was violently opposed to an end-game Constitution and the Executive Board of CBS at their weekly Board meetings had that on the Agenda. They eventually relented after the 50th Anniversary, saw the $$$$, and decreed R&D Promotion only.
This whole kerfuffle caused such bad blood between Moonves and the Board that they set him up to move him out. CBS stock prices were hanging in the balance because of that end-game Constitution. [End Alternate Reality]
Of course, having a more readily available end-game Constitution that would surpress other Ship sales was far from anyone's mind.

There is a lot of urban legend, myth, and made up facts regarding CBS allowing an end game connie in STO. The only actual statement(s) the devs made on the issue were:
1: STO was set in 2409, and CBS didn't want to allow an end game connie due to the ship being so old in STO's time period.
2: They also made some comment about CBS not wanting a connie to be able to destroy a Borg cube.
Other that those 2 general statements, all of the other stuff you might read is simply conjecture. Granted, it might be conjecture based on other statements about potentially related things (such as lock box ships are ships that are supposed to be rare), but those 2 statement above are all that the devs ever said about the connie specifically.
So, what changed? Well, the main thing was when STO did the "Agents of Yesterday" expansion and we suddenly had TOS-era ships at end game by calling them "temporal ships" (aka not really old ships, but future ships that just looked like old ships). Plus, by the time AOY came around there were other Trek games (like Timelines) that had connies as end game level ships blowing up other (much newer) end game level ships.

The swept back pylons are nice and all and look great on the Refit, but for this design I just prefer the straight ones to the swept back ones.
