Honestly when it comes to mirror ships it would be nice to see a pack, or something that adds more mirror variant skins for existing ships we have. What might be fun to see is both the ships of races that either in the prime setting never got them, or races that from the federation's existence stopped developing them further, but yet with the changed outcomes of events in the mirror timeline might have changed.

mirror paints/prefixes/etc. would be nice, and in my thinking easier to do. BUT someone said in a previous thread that developers have said this would be a ship-to-ship change and that's at this current point a LOT of ships and cryptic would probably have to hire a few temps just to handle it without impacting other currently in-progress projects. understandable enough. So, with that logic, it would seem adding a handful of iconic ships to give us decent Terran Variants of the ships we grew up with (and I know those ships are different for everyone hence the title of the thread) is the easier option.

Lockbox ships typically stay around the 250-300 mil mark on the Exchange. Which is pretty reasonable based on supply. Lobi ships generally around 200, and have a bit more of a stable supply due to not being luck based on the part of the seller. The old secondary prize ships... I've seen sell for less than 10 mil. Its the R&D ships that tend to be more expensive because of how rare they are.

The exception to the rule is when there's 2 lockbox ships (infinity lockbox not included here). Usually its the one super-special ship, in the current age this would be a t-6 ship with trait/console, and a 1% or possible less drop rate. Millions to get one on the exchange. The other ship would be a t-5 level ship with t5-u option. May or may not have a console, no trait, drop rate of around 20-25% drop rate. 20k-2mil max to get one while the lockbox is active.
    :

When we had mirror ships it, the good ship was a good t5 with console, rare drop. Mirror Ship would have different boff/console layout no special console. They were, at the time though, variants on the free level 40 ships. Possibly why there's no t5-u option because there were coded in off of the t-4 ships.
Perhaps now make them t-5u level ships or full on t-6 no trait, but lock them behind paywall of sorts: you have to own the prime version FIRST in order to unlock the item box the mirror ship would be packed in.

I don't see how that is an exception to "the rule". It supply and demand. Simple as that. The secondary prize ships were more common, so that made them more accessable. The only real exception per se is when we have faction specific ships, for example the Kelvin Connie vs D4x BoP vs T'Laru Carrier. All three are lockbox, however the Kelvin Connie would be cheaper because more people were opening those boxes Fed side due to higher population than KDF and Romulan. That's been mitigated nowadays by getting a box that gives a choice box between faction ships that can be traded.

I guess at the end of the day, I'd rather continue the theme of lock box/lobi/promo grand prize level rarity mirror ships (Mirror Crossfield, Styx etc) that are on par with other fleet level Tier 6 ships instead of consolation weak sauce mirror ships that we used to get.

Maybe I could have been more clear in that post. Generally referring to Lockbox ships means referring to the BIG prize ship, like the Kelvin Connie. The T5 secondary prize ships are not the big prize ships and are more common.

back in the day the mirror ships weren't that bad. granted they weren't as strong as a full on fleet t-5 but they were competitive. now, if you want to run, lets say a mirror Prometheus (mirror patrol escort), then you are down a full 20k hull points, a console slot, possibly a weapon slot, and specialty BOFF slot.

What about the Mirror version of the Kentari, or Lukari?

Well more like the division never happened, and so they kept developing maybe even developing ships further, since the Lukari exodus not happening kept them interested in developing starships. Or instead of them splitting, they stayed on the same world an see what happened from them, and as such what more could have come out of that unseen conflict. I like some of the Lukari designs, but would not mind seeing what the Kentari might developed given the chance the Lukari were, which a mirror version of the Kentari could allow.

Yeah they weren't that horrible back in the day but they obviously haven't aged well. Using a newer consolation prize ship for comparison, say the APU Cruiser, WITH the upgrade token you get a T5 10 console ship with 12 boff powers among other lower stats. Personally, I don't want a mirror Galaxy that's gimped in this manner. I want a full T6 (fleet level) version ship with the trait and all the "fixings." And that won't happen as a consolation prize that costs peanuts on the exchange. It'll only happen as a grand prize ship at 300+ million which I'm fine with.

If we were to go... "by the book", Mirror versions of vessels appear to have an inverse proportion of combat capability compared to the standard version. As a result, I would expect the Mirror Resolute to be OP in terms of combat performance. I would desire such a vessel.

Just give us the I.S.S. Prefix and the Terran Hull markings (red & yellow) for our ships!

I pounded for this 3 threads ago. Seems we'd have a better chance of whole ships.

Terran ships as a whole would have a better combat focus than their prime counterparts (save for escorts because u can't make them MORE combat ready than a tactical based ship), just because of the Terran Empire's focus on conquest. Science and exploration take the back seat, with new discovery made more by accident or for potential military advantage than actual curiosity. Take Pahvo for example....

Also what about some mirror versions of ships we have had from the enemy factions? Like the Vaadwaur for instance, or even the Kobali. Like the mirror empire went into the gama quad an found that instead of the Vaadwaur having been defeated in the past leading to them going into stasis, they retained their empire, or the Kobali being more overt an insidious with their method of gaining bodies, as such we could see more of both of these race's ships in a different design line though. I liked the Kobali cruiser we got design wise, and would not have minded seeing more ships from them (could have happened if they had been able to expand more an spend more time), but using the mirror we could see what their escort or dreadnaught might be designed if they were less peaceful.

If a mirror Resolute is OP, then a mirror Samsar is god-tier I Win Button territory. We cannot handle the power of a mirror Samsar. The servers would self destruct to preserve humanity.

        Mirror pilot escorts.

Honestly would not mind seeing a tier six mirror patrol escort, or even just a patrol escort would be nice in tier six.

this is where I'm at. t5 mirror patrol escort was the Prometheus. so t6 mirror patrol escort would be the Hestia. it makes for an interesting change of play style.
