This is a bit of a surprise. Or maybe not, the Foundry is a vastly more complex system than PvP. But still.
PvP survived Genesis/Exploration and the Foundry now.
Well, if you call PvP still alive.
Still, weird.
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
-Need to update the game 'under the hood' . -Legacy systems are bad m'kay? ! -Lulz old code, wut dat ?
Now, admittedly I have been following the pvp ongoings less ..., so I don't remember if it was just speculation or if they outright admitted it that the reason for no more new pvp maps is/was that they don't know the old code ... -- but all the same putting the pieces together tells us that the only reason they have not booted pvp is that it doesn't break with every update like the Foundry did .
... it just breaks with every new op cheese console/power, but Cryptic had long since stopped giving any fox about that ...
