The skill tree should work pretty well for any energy weapon build. I however, do not use Torpedoes, so if you do, you might need to move some points around to buff your torps.
As always, it's intended as a guideline to give you ideas, this is not me saying this is the 'right' way to build. It's just what works for me and hopefully, it helps you out.
I go with tree from Sea as well. Peeps have been playing around with the sheet for quite some time now and min/maxed it pretty well. For all but exotic sci heavy builds the corner stones always seem to be:
- 27 points intot tac for focused frenzy
- 3 points into long range targeting
- 2 points into eps
- 2 points into impulse
- 4 around the energy lvl enhancements
I found to put some into shield generation and hardiness to have also a big impact. Rest is personal preference.

Skill Tree is largely a matter of perference, but here is the build I am running on my Federation Miracle Worker Battle Cruiser.
