Is the "Ready Starship" Button Broke

austinousaustinous Member Posts: 3 Arc User
It used to be when you got a ship, you could hit the "Ready Starship" button and then the equipment would come over from your previous ship. Or if you're using a ship already setup, it would load all the equipment. It doesn't work now. Is this a new feature or a new bug ?

I've had my equipment move to my new ship several times recently when I changed ships.

Could be a bug, I'm not sure.
Now a LTS and loving it.

I did it yesterday on a new ship and it moved my gear over.

I believe that if your weapons are not compatible (your current ship is an escort with Dual Cannons and you switch to a ship that cannot mount cannons) that causes it to just do nothing. If the weapons are not compatible then it won't work.

    Maybe that is what happened?

This is bugged still. I keep the option turned on. But is still doesn't do so at times. For instance, I completed the mastery on the ship from last summer's event, I went to switch over to the winter event ship and it didn't move my gear.

I've ran in to the same with the T'Pau.

But it works when I swap from one of those back to like the Lukari ship or Maqis Raider.

    Edit:
I think this may be tied in to loadouts. As the new ship don't have any equipped. Thus it's not changing your "loudout(equipment)" over.

I mention this, because it has no problem moving my gear to a ship I have things equipped on. However, a new ship that I haven't equipped anything on, it won't just move my gear from one ship to another.

When I moved from my current ship to the T'Pau it moved my gear as well, though I had to get some consoles to fill empty slots that wasn't on my other ship.

When I went to equip from the 3/5 summer event ship, to the T'Pau, it didn't move any gear. All it had equipped at the time was the basic gear it came with. I checked my settings at this point, and yup the move gear to new ship was turned on. Then the same thing happened going from the T'Pau to the S'Toor.

However the carried from Lohlunat 2 years ago, that had had some random extra stuff equipped on to save bank space, didn't have this problem. I just moved my loadout from my Maquis to it. Which technically with it, would have been replacing it's current loadout, with the loudout from my Maqis.

This is where I think it's a loudout bug. Where the new ship that has just base equipment, isn't registering the loudout from teh previous ship. I've also noticed on this, in a loudout, if you have a console set, but not equipped, you can't equip that console to a different slot. Going left to right, it wouldn't move my plasma storm console from Engineering slot 1, to Engineering Slot 3, because I had it set previously to slot 1.

I had one Character, even with the option set, never have any equipment move to a pristine newly commissioned ship. The others had no problems.
