NoP Public channel

I watch the channel everyday, and NoP is not there for some of you, (who I will not mention by name) to put down other players who are not up to your standards, everyday trash and put the game down and cuss on the channel, yet you still show up in game after trashing it left and right. Guys, or women, this should stop, your abusive talk is not becoming of you or what that channel is there for. If you hate the game so much, don't play anymore. Cussing, Politics, trashing other players, bad mouthing the game have no place on the NoP channel. If you hate the game the way it is, put in ideas, try to get a job with Cryptic so you can pitch your ideas to improve the game. Please watch what you say on the channel.

Are you a member of NoP or Dental? If not nothing on that channel is under your control. I've been on the channel for years and I actually know that there is only 1 rule, No buying no selling.

No I am not an admin, but there are kids who play this game and it is sad to see others treat people like that. I know I can't control it but it is called common human respect that's all.

Yeah, you kinda have to watch over your kids, and control where they go.....if you don't want them exposed to the harsher elements on the Internet via a connection through entertainment venues, like games. Remember, you are still on the Internet.

Do I really have to add more to this in this day and age??? No, I don't think so.

I don't agree with a lot of what is said in NoP; as the channel has morphed from help/services, to a dozen or so people who basically spout their own personal biases all day, every day.

That said, people also talk politics, religion, games, Trek, movies, the good old days, and a dozen other things in there. It's not up to you or me to tell other people what to talk about so long as they obey the channels rules (everything free, no trading). I can freely offer my opinion "Shut up you guys are boring!" and they can freely say "Nah, I'm gonna talk about X for the 700th time".

Regardless of chatter, the usual invite requests, help requests, and sharing of information still goes on. It just has a lot of noise surrounding it.

You have the option to leave the channel, to only use it when you want an invite or service, to ignore or block anyone you find offensive, and to create a global channel using whatever rules you like, invite people in and moderate them.

You don't have the option to tell other people what they can or can't talk about, in someone else's global channel.

Ok, well, the forum has enough drama without bringing in-game drama to it. /Thread
