Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out

Obviously we're having some server issues today (02/06/19). I would like to request that people please post here if they're having problems instead of creating endless new threads, and follow the connection diagnosis instructions in this thread to help Cryptic diagnose it.

nyone else having issues logging into the server? I keep getting "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out," when trying to launch the launcher.

    hmmm hiccup 2 mins and account server working again. booted me from battleground thou. map status is different or was logged back onto different map.

    The servers do seem to be a shambles lately. Hope you were able to finish your omega. =(

    I have for the past 24 minutes. Same error "Unable to authenticate: Connection to the account server timed out." Can't log in.

    Just curious if the server is down or something, or an unknown issue has occurred. I don't think it is an isolated issue.

    Me too. This is a real bummer. Common guys let's get it moving again so I have a valid reason to procrastinate.

    Yeah I'm getting the same problem. Tried logging into 2 accounts on 2 separate machines and just getting an Unable to authenticate error message. Anyone know if they know about this? Is there a work around? Or when it will be fixed?

    I must say, I'm relieved after seeing other's with this problem. Needless to say, I too am having this problem. Here's to hoping it's fixed soon!

    Me too. Looks like all the other games are down too...somebody forget to pay the light bill? As much as this game costs...it really should be flawless...like WoW....

    Really....this game operates on a fraction of WoW's budget, and it's a 30GB+ game that you can play without spending a penny, which you can't with WoW!

    I get the same as everyone else, makes me wonder if they're having a problem with their T6 Vulcan Scout Ship, they don't want anyone logging in to do their Omega Event completion, lol

    Another coal to the fire, same issue.The icon in the launcher is green, suggesting server is up, but timeout. Any support staff care to comment?

    It figures too, as today is the day I complete my anniversary event, so was looking forward to logging in with anticipation, lol

    I still have yet to receive a response via FB messanger, so I looked on the support options. Apparently there is a chat section, but this message is prominent on the page "We are unable to offer Live Chat support for In-Game issues at this time. "
