I am wondering just how the Kobayashi is scripted to behave. Reason being that it seems to seek out and fly directly into the midst of player gravity wells.
Now I am guessing that's not its intended behavior, is it trying to keep a set distance from the enemy NPCs, and is that some how causing it to lock coarse for hell every time I put down a murder ball?
Back in the days of 'no win scenario', My fleet and I defeated it by pumping up our gravity well size to the max and and sucking together all the enemies into one to three murder balls.
But with the Kobayashi unable to resist the temptation of a front row seat to a warp core breach our mega well ships are a rather poor choice this time around.
Now that's ok, I am just wondering what its AI is actually intending when it flies into the cluster of death. I assume I am not the only one to have noticed this strange behavior?

Well... she is either the Leeroy Jenkins or Suicidal Lemming.

Well the "Kobayashi Maru" program cheats, this isn't a stab Cryptic but a known canon fact, in fact that's the reason why only Kirk ever beat the test scenario, because he was the only one playing a fair version of it. For everyone else the program adjust to counter any tactics made to beat, so it wouldn't surprise me at all if Cryptic besided to program in counters to the most popular player tactics.
Isn't the captain of the Kobayashi Maru a guy though, the officer broadcasting the distress signal at least is, the person who gives the briefing isn't controlling the ship (apart from the fact she's responsible for the current version, in-universe).
The awful aussie accent is not the captains voice.
The captain is the one who lies over coms about having no power but can happily fly about while maintaining a dampening field that cripples any healing thats not from the lukari console.

It doesn't "cripple" any healing. The Maru, like all NPC ships, simply has too much hitpoints to be promptly filled by anything that doesn't work on % of max HP.

This is true. While the Lukari Protomatter Field console is quite effective, its not the only heal that actually does work. All heals work, its just that the Maru has a large HP pool to refill. And if she starts dropping like a rock... there's not much a player can do to counter it.
Maybe in an organized run or something you'll have a dedicated healer with every possible heal on their ship while the rest fight. But the others should have some heals to slap on the Maru as well.

One of the most effective things is to focus on keeping it's shields up. Last time I saw it get splatted was vs Borg, yeah, the dreaded Shield Neutralizer. Then it got ripped apart by Plasma Torpedo volleys.
Even if you're not a dedicated healer slapping a Hazard Emitter on your build does wonders.

Kamikaze indeed......Has any Dev explained why the Maru moves, when it supposed to be disabled?
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
You would think a craft in distress would fly AWAY from combat as much as possible, but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, this moron has been getting himself killed in less than 3 rounds all 3 times i did it. Barely made it to round 4 before it died.

Yeah, I've noted this several times. Pretty sure that calling them Kamikazi is and insult to those that have done that. i.e. Japanese WWII Pilots.
This lady seems to be more of the truck driver for Al Qaeda type. Even then, it's iffy, because she's not attempting to take any of them with her.
But we can agree on the fact, she is suicidal.

Oh that's a good one. I need to remember that.

I'm ashamed to admit this, but...
For the life of me, I can't remember the pin command for it. Too old, been too long since I had to pin something.
Also...
That is total win, and totally true. ^_^
When you target something, there is an info button and a button that looks like a push pin. Hit the push pin.

... oh, I'm an idiot. Thank you.
You're welcome.
MAIN power is gone? I mean there might be some Aux power still in the systems and they're blindly trying to be evasive?
