Maybe it's the wrong place, but..."Region is banned" all of a sudden.

I'm in the UK, I've been playing STO for eight-years, I had no problem logging in just the other day, but on the website, I'm getting the message:

Region is banned.

And when I try to use the launcher, I get:

WHOOPS!

It looks like there may be a problem with your account. It is possible you have been banned or you are attempting to log in from an unsupported region. If you believe this is an error, please contact support.

The only way I could even login to the website or put in a ticket is by using a VPN connected to the US. Is anyone else having this same problem and can anyone please tell me how to resolve it?

    I haven't heard anything from other UK players on twitter (US myself, no issues). No idea how to resolve it, but this is definitely something to contact official support for. Sounds like a bug either on Cryptic/PWE's end or your ISP doing something...unusual. VPN would be what I'd try in the meantime to log into STO (I've done that before to get around regional network issues during a spell of TRIBBLE connectivity, should work fine.)

    I've been logging in from UK fine. See if today's update clears the issue.

    I had something like that once, years ago. Dunno where it came from. Fixed by contacting support.

    When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
