A Discovery era Nanopulse Bat’leth? Once again, pass. If these things were upgradable, maybe, but since they aren't, no thanks.

This is an MMO, not a Star Trek episode simulator. That would make for a terrible game.

    What about Star Trek religions?

Personally, I would have preferred a Snowconian ship or Snow Borg Icecube, but a Fek'Ihri ship is much better than another lousy Breen ship.

I just want upgradeable and re-engineerable Fek'ihri weapons. I love the sounds of their weapon fire.
Space Barbie Extraordinaire. Got a question about Space Barbie? Just ask.

    Things I want in STO:

    1) More character customization options such as more clothing options, letting the toon complexion affect the entire body, not just the head. Also a true RGB color picker applied to all costume and appearance options, which would allow for true appearance customization and homogenous colors instead of "this same exact color looks vastly different on two different pieces."
    2) Bridge customization, not bridge packs. Let us pick a general layout and adjust the color palette, console appearance, and chair types, as well as more ready room layout options.
    3) Customizable ground weapons, i.e. The aesthetic look of phaser dual pistols but they shoot antiproton bolts. For obvious reasons this would only apply to standard ground weapons.
    4) For the love of Q please revamp Plasma Ground Weapons. They look like demented Supersoakers right now.
    5) True Vanity Impulse and Deflector effects similar to Vanity Shields.
    6) A greater payout for hitting T6 Reputations. Currently it takes more time and resources to get from T5 to T6 than it does to get from nothing to T5. Make that grind really pay out at the end.
    7) Mirrorverse Refugee event similar to AoY/Delta/Gamma, complete with new Mirrorverse recruits for all factions.
    8) Independent Faction, because yo ho yo ho a pirate's life for me!

It's\a pity your ruining the winter event with those terrible Christmas sweaters with Star Trek Discovery stuff on them. You could have Q with a xmas hat on him or even a snow with DS9 on it. Anything would look better that Disco and the tardigrade. Also it is not Disco it is TRIBBLE

What makes it so special to get a branded sweater and not the other Star Trek's as well?
  • thunderfoot#5163 thunderfoot Member Posts: 4,540 Arc User
I think the sweaters are hilarious. Looking forward to getting and using them. A Fek'lhri ship for the FGOI prize? Okay. It's not Breen done before, so I'm good with it. Discovery style Nanopulse bat'leths? As long as they come in all the colors available last year, great! I would like them to be Upgradable though.

QWW is a part of the game I always enjoy. Due to the general silliness throughout it. Looking forward to it again this year. And just like last year, I'll miss it for a few days after it completes.

Still not sold on the psionic and nightmare kit modules. I simply do not see how they can be integrated.
Perhaps for those who craft a Fek'lhri character it can be a themed kit setup combined with the mission reward flames, but otherwise...
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Sorry, but the Tardigrade one is cute.

As for the "what makes it so special" comment - well, one could ask "what makes DS9 so special that they gave us DS9 themed baseball uniforms in the summer event", could they not?
I'm referring to the sweater with the name on it when I said "branded", also I didn't think about the baseball uniforms. It's not like Voyager, TOS, or even Enterprise got a sweater with their name on it, people should be able to represent the ST that they like most with a sweater.

Again, same applies - I don't recall you taking issue with the DS9 baseball outfits. It's the same thing - players who like DS9 DO get to represent the ST they like most with the baseball uniform(s).

By your own admission, you "did not think of the baseball uniforms" - that's because you obviously like DS9. You DON'T like Discovery and therefore take issue with the DSC themed sweater.
Look Reyan, I understand your frustrations of people bad mouthing discovery but that is not what I am trying to do. I did not think about the baseball uniform because I simply forgot about them, and no DS9 is not my favorite Trek at all.

The race is pretty easy. Just everytime you want to change course, jump up, let go of the foward key, align your character in midair and continue going forward once you touch the ground again. Forward - Jump up - let go of foward - left right to align yourself - forward again once you touch the ground.

I was simply annoyed by the fact that the other Star Treks don't also have their name on a sweater, I am not a good explainer and things get read differently then how I thought I explained them. I wasn't trying to say that the other series didn't get their owned themed stuff.

Totally love the glittery pants. Use it on most of my toons for WW....especially since they can use a variety of colors....with matching sweaters, of course.

DISCO is directly referencing the Discovery t-shirt which, in universe, is referencing the name of the ship. See for analog Archer's NX hat from Enterprise or the Niner's baseball uniform from DS9 (which we got last summer.)

Now, see this is where the Devs could run a contest for players: The Official STO Ugly Christmas Sweater Designs Contest. Top prize ends up as a sweater in the Event Store. Let the players vote on it.

Smelling another escort, so another ship that won't be flown unless the traits useful elsewhere.

Kit modules seem ok but will depend if they share the idiocy of the 3secs to use that the fire puddle from the gamma arc has, if nothing is left alive by the time its ready it's a worthless item.

Gingerbread squatters will be ignored once again this year.

You can actually purchase the Winter Event tokens used for the rep project to get the ship. That way, you get the ship and you still don't have to bother with the race.

Too many breen ships already. We've Breen there and done that already.

    Excellent pun.

I'm not into the sweater look, but the tardigrade in a Santa cap, disco, & what seems to be a Borge cube with antlers all seem approved by the Gorn at least.

It would be a nice touch if the Borg Cubes (and other geometrical-influenced shaped Borg ships) were given antlers during the Holiday event :)

Hilarious idea. Antlers on the cubes, Santa cap on the spheres, jingle bells on the probes, & the octahedron maybe an inverted stocking. Probably too much work for Cryptic's crew with no payoff.

So Saying "Merry Christmas" is NOT allowed in the forums?
Why are we celebrating winter event?

For the benefit of the audience could we please add what words are forbidden on the FCT so that we are careful not to offend others. I'm not discussing religion just mere wording and what is or not acceptable since lots of people do have different cultural backgrounds and just want to be sensitive to all cultures?
