    Of course.

I never get people who want the game to have less things to do. Isn't the point of a game to have something to do?

There won't be a Tier 7 for Reputations unless they add a Tier 6 to the Starbase Sub-Holdings and Colony World. They could only do one number at a time 250,000. They used it for the Sub-Holdings so they just had to use the same number for Reputations.

If they add Tier 7 for Reputations and Tier 6 for the Starbase you know it will have to be 500,000. Just enough to keep us going until we actually reach Discovery's true time. :)

I think they should have added a discovery reputation with the launch of the T6 grind and made that the final one.

I just don't get it. I have one toon, just one, that actually had all reps to tier5 and that was only because it was a temporal toon and got me the MK upgrade on rep items. Now, that toon doesn't even have them all at Tier 5 and I don't have a single rep anywhere, on any toon at tier 6 and you know what ? It hasn't hurt me in the least and hasn't decreased my enjoyment of this game in the tiniest bit. I've got toons sitting around with an inventory half full of marks boxes that I've never even opened because there's nothing in the rep system I want/need on those toons right now and I'd rather be playing a mission or two than bothering with them.

No one is forcing anyone to grind reps, do them if you want, or if there's some rep gear reward you want, if not, don't. I would say that this is the only game I have ever played where players actually complain about having too much stuff to do, most players gripe about a games lack of things to do.

The reply to bad game design is often like 'No one is making you do X or Y.' And, while true, also rather irrelevant.

How are they a good way to earn EC? You put 15,000 EC in and get an item out that *might* be worth 15,000 EC on vendoring. And if it's competitive rep, you get consumables that are worth zero EC after putting 15,000 in so I fail to see how it's a good way to earn EC.

While I never mind any mark grind as I tend to PvE activity all the time anyways this #reps X #toons X #days clicky business completely kills my enthusiasm about T6 reputations and will weigh heavily in my decision if I make any new characters in this game ever again (right along with any RL money donations I usualy would make for them).

When Geko mentioned in a P1 podcast a while back that they wanted to start realizing an account of a player as whole instead of its characters individualy (in this 9 years old game) for reps I had some high hopes here they would turn reputations into an account wide endeavor and call it a day. Oh well, a gear discount projects instead. Wow nice… :|

Whatever, 10 more days and this nonsense will be over. 30-45 minutes less stupidity in this game every day and yet more power creep for others to cry over. At least it will be of no concern for me then anymore.

This is precisely what I meant, when I said "So much for becoming 'alt-friendly.'" Only you voiced the sentiment so much better. :) They really didn't think this thru very well (or at all, for that matter).

They really should have made Tier 6 entirely an Account unlock thing. Even then it's ridicilous. Especially since there is no real sense of progression. It's just a month or more of waiting with no in-between steps. That's like going from Level 1 to Level 65, except you only get your skill points and abilities when you reach Level 65.

Yea I agree! I understand that they want peeps to play PvE for marks but I’m sure that there would have been ways to abstract the now 900 additional ones needed for a rep onto any gear options to get from those systems.

It is just too bad. :/

lol.. you really consider clicking to fill rep projects as 'something to do?'

When people ask for content, this is not what they mean. This fact should be obvious.

Cryptic continually looks for things they can add to the game, for immersion, for new challenges, and new capabilities, hopefully without breaking something else. Since I've never really mined the reputations for gear very much (usually one rep set per 'toon), most of my mains are sitting on 1k-2k rep marks for each rep, and T6 finally gives me someplace to use them without having to grind incessantly for something specific. TBH, I had given up on some of my reputation projects because it was so rare to get a queue running for the elite marks needed. And along the way, it's giving me another stream of dilithium to use for fleet holdings. I'd much rather click through the reps than grind out spotty TFO's any day for half of my daily dil ration...

If you're doing something, it's something to do. A reason to log in and play. Maybe even play a mission one of these days, or would be if I didn't have boatloads of spare marks.

Not a very compelling reason, since there is nothing particularly interesting much less needed at T6, but better than no reason.

Hmm. I've gotten a bunch of traits (both passive and active) that I use on most of my characters. I've gotten useful gear (consoles, weapons, etc) that I use on everyone. I've gotten cosmetics (ground costumes & ship shields/engines/deflectors) for my characters. And I got a whole bunch of Dil.
And on most of those characters, I did it by running around the Summer & Winter events playing with pets. With another large chunk of marks coming from the account-wide Recruit reclaims.

I feel the same way OP. It’s. It’s not just the amount of grinding for marks, but the amount of clicking involved makes it a snoozer. Especially across many toons and even more when you have one that’s at tier II.

I'm wondering who's FORCING any of us to do it honestly.
What happened to "work smarter, not harder"?

Sure push your main up to T6 everything, but if your alts aren't going to make use of all of it... why grind all of it except maybe in spare time? Do the ones you think will benefit you the most, and do the rest as a side project off and on.

Hah, yup, that's the Psychoplatt I know, I run into your pylons all the time.

But you know what we need? T6 Starbases and Colonies and T4 Mini-holdings. Drop them on us all at once so we can have LOTS OF GRIND. MUAHAHAHA.

I figure it will eventually happen, won't it?

Also, maybe a new tier of specialization abilities? Though I admit, that might be harder to pull off, since they have to come up with ideas in the same theme. But on the other hand, they could just add another level to the existing abiltiies, so slightly better bonuses but no new ideas.

Until they ruined the ques with the "improvements" for the Gamma Quadrant thing, it wasn't that hard to run up reps once you get the first toon through.

In case you missed this from Ambassador Kael.....I caught it on the Tribble Patch Notes:
Quick note for those of you who were wondering, and missed Bort on Reddit, the update to Rep UI on Tribble is only half of it. The change was made to make room for the "Fill All" button we'll be adding soon, to make all of your lives a lot easier. The individual donation buttons are smaller because, frankly, you'll use them less.

This change shouldn't go live to Holodeck until ALL of it is ready.

I am still hoping for a "Start All Daily Missions" button. I would even be oke with a warning that this action will consume X EC, X Marks etc per reputation.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

And hopefully, that thing with the Skill Trees going Invalid mode after Claiming T6 Reputation project disappears, too. Unless that is some sort of artifact crossing over from them changing the skill tree to allowing permanent respecs. ???? At least, THAT is what I been hoping for. Let us hope for that.
