"Fly the Ship of the Allies" means "Cutting the Workload", in plain speech. Still pumping out "factions" in the faction-less environment. That's the very definition of conflicting signals. This is just an observation, of course. :-)

Given a choice between the DSD and the Fleet Lafayette, I would never personally choose the DSD.

From federation point of view the DSD is one of the ships i find it difficult to point out positive features.
From KDF and Rom i can understand why they have an appeal since for the longest time they were one of the few, if not the only one, high tier science ships available.
The pack is placed on my future purchase list, but i am working toward the cross faction multi mission first.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Pryor just how dumb are you? Your comparing the dyson ships which are sic ships to an escort ship, what would ever make you think an escort would have a secondary def or sub system targeting build in. I swear reading your posts just shows how little you know and understand about this game if the devs did your suggestions every ship in the game would be god mode full time.
^ this. I see why they didn't do Romulan or Jem variants this time, and I hope they won't abandon these designs in the future. But having a New Orleans class in-game (as much as I like that) before having a a T6 Vor'cha... that's just wrong.
... and of course, I'd love to have a T5/6 Kamarag, like there is a T5/6 Ambassador.

Let's not make it personal. I'm pretty sure the mods are busy enough without this kind of stuff.

I think he is comparing 'Destroyers' and which one he prefers
Still, they are vastly different. The DSD is more science ship than Destroyer.
*Loving* the New Orleans class in game! Much, *much* fun!
I do wish, however, that a bit of the love the new models of TMP era ships (Excelsior, Miranda, Constitution) received had found its way to the classic Galaxy derived parts; the saucer's phaser strip is blocky and the numbering is a bit skewed. Still waiting impatiently for the fleet version to relaunch!

Many thanks Devs!
The classic Galaxy parts have just recently been overhauled. I didn't look at the New Orleans yet, I decided to keep the Lafayette for headcanon reasons. Could you post screenshots of the issues and maybe report them? Since the NO uses a scaled down variant of the Galaxy parts, maybe something became crooked during scaling or they do indeed use the old parts.

The Oberth is the last of the TMP ships to not yet get a T6 update and it's the only one which isn't engi based like the rest, I really wish they would consider updating it.

In the images below compare the registration number character sizes at the ends with the middle characters. A line drawn under the characters and another over them wouldn't remain equidistant like rails under a train. One of the hats I wear is graphic artist and that jumps out at me.
Also the phaser strip sections port and starboard have obvious straight sections whereas the saucer perimeter has enough polys to appear a smooth ellipse. It could be a matter of the budget for polygons, but if not the case, at least currently...
It occurs to me that the degree the phaser strip is raised in relation to the hull on the television and movie models is so slight it could be that, visually, it needn't be a raised section at all. Couldn't it be a graphic like the pennants and other hull markings?

It clearly shares the design language and belongs in the TMP era. Picard even says so, it's old by TNG. Of course it did appear in the show TNG but that doesn't make it a TNG ship.

Comments
Wrong. 3-for-6000 is 1/3 off. 2-for-4000 is... 1/3 off. Exact same discount.
QFT. TOS Online would have me at launch.
On topic: It would look better than these ships, too. In particular, the KDF one is disappointing.
Off Topic: No Release Notes for this week's Patch?

Much like how the Excelsior appears in TNG
