I realize i am only using XII weapons, however it takes resources that takes time to update, plus, a step between stars at the end we use YOUR ship.
The last boss battle with the undine took 33 minutes to complete and i died 10 times fighting the undine. The power curve on enemies at lev 65 is way overboard when most of us are only using level 12 weapons and shields cause upgrading takes time to get the res in dil to do the updates and it takes time to run the admiralty to get updates with the romulan tour of duties. Something needs to be done to ease off the difficulty in space. I should not have had to die just cause im at player level 65 with level 12 weapons on the last fight which is a ship supplied as part of the mission, a dyson sphere warship. Also, another thing, checking hull strengths,:
mine (note this is a supplied dyson sphere ship specs) 90,000
undine minor ship 200,000
boss 800,000
Way overpowered enemy ships at player level 65 at normal difficulty have made this game nearly impossible to play.
Ground combat player level 65 at normal difficulty with level 12 weapons isnt nearly as hard as space combat.
Please check this out cause i have a friend who is gonna quit playing cause she like most of us are not in a position to obtain higher level weapons due to the res it takes and time it takes to either get dil or romulan updates with the admiralty.
Note, the power curve when i started to notice it was the weekend that the mirror invasion took place, if that helps any.
Oh one more thing i noticed. the force fields that appear on the station at the doors and the floor force field are now less noticeable sooo badly its like there not there at all. The graphic that use to be the force field isnt nearly as pronounced as they were last time i played that earlier this year during the delta recruit event.
Should not be hard at all for upgrading if you have the phoenix boxes stacked up and an upgrade weekend coming up with close to zero resources, meaning only dil which can be collected easily from various methods..
As for the misiion none so far seem to be difficult on normal at all playing with the JH toon with nothing updated..The undine should not pose a threat at all..
so tell me, i havent had a chance to do any of the missions past dyson sphere yet, so what is a good non set equipment you can get on the exchange to power my ship with and survive? or do you have to have sets? then which ones? non rep gear

im progressing trough the ranks, getting better equipment, skills, ships and at the end i end up unable to fight a basic frigate.
where is the logic in that? a frigate that miraculesly turned more powerful than a dreadnought.
"A Step Between Stars" played very well at level 50 but the level-cap raises we've had have made it much more difficult to play that space portion at the end.
I'd suggest that particular battle have queue-like scaling applied to level-down to 50 so that the battle is much more reasonable.

But, DOH...all my mains are stuck behind that Daniels "Yesterday's War" stuff.

If you think it's bad at "normal" try doing it as advanced difficulty. It's about 10 times worse. I was trying advanced. I wanted to have the ship and personal injuries for story telling purposes. But, the enemy ships became so over powered, it wasn't worth it.
I'd like to see an intermediate level that adds ship and personal injuries but doesn't increase target hardness. Not that we'll ever see that.
