You have reached the limit of officers that you can have of this type (Ps4)

I got this message or pop up. is there something i need to do to aquire the officer?

    Certain types of duty officer and bridge officer have limits to how many you can have on a ship or have active at one time. If for example you have a duty officer that can increase your critical chance when firing weapons, you are limited to having only 3 of that type active at any one time. If you're seeing a message like that then you probably already own as many as you're allowed to have or you have as many active as you're allowed to have. What kind of officer are you trying to acquire and what are you doing that's triggering this message?

    i got the leeta officer but it won't let me add her, do i have to remove one of my original officers?, or is there a way around this?

    Do you have an open bridge officer slot?

    On PC, you start out with only room for 3-4 officers. This increases as you level up but reaches a maximum number. Once the slots are filled you must either buy more slots or discharge an existing boff to make room for a new one.

    You say the message says "...of this type" so it sounds like that's not the problem. Do you already have another Leeta active with that captain? What are the types of your other boffs? (Any other photonic or holographic?)

    no other officers other than the ones you get from the start, i have a few extra slots too, maybe im too low leveled or something

    im at level 20 now and i thought i might be able have more officers of the type but its still saying the same thing, if anybody had/has this problem please let me know, thanks

    That message shows usually when you have Leeta in your Boff Roster. You can only have one Leeta, no matter whether Mirror Leeta or Dabo Leeta.

    it would appear its only the dobo leeta i cannot get? thats the one i want to use, but i dont know if theres a certain qualification to use that one

    I'm guessing you realized you needed to dismiss Admiral Leeta before claiming Dabo Leeta. The two of them just can't get along in the same crew.
