Is there a 64-bit launcher?

notice that the launcher is still 32 bit... is there any plans for an updated launcher as well?

When this game first came out, I bought the PC copy. I got ripped off for $50. I downloaded the game and it said the code was already in use, which was acknowledged as a widespread problem. For months I kept submitting support tickets and they just refused to respond. They did, however, keep my money. I never got to play the game. Now the launcher sits on "patching" forever. It doesn't patch. Obviously the companies putting this game out have not yet learned how to develop software.

tigeraries, there is a 64-bit version of STO, you have to log in and then not check 32-bit, then you will go into that version, which for me is not very stable. As for an updated launcher for 64-bit, I am not sure if that will ever be a thing or not.

What does your problem or complaint have to do with the thread in question? This is asking will there ever be a 64-bit launcher, either make a new thread or find a new thread that has just been made about your problem. Thanks. :)

P.S. This thread should be in either General Discussion or in the Feedback section not in the section it currently is in. Thanks.

Of which I do not see...and I'm on a 64-bit OS (Win 7), so I should have the option. If it's Win10 only, I'm going to be put out...

Win 7 x64 here..There is no particular option here..Only what sthe91 said..In options on the launcher un-check "Use 32 bit client"..As a word of caution there are some stability issues like crashes on the 64 bit client..

Yeah, I know that's really only to be able to force it back to 32-bit...what I am saying is that I do not have that option, despite being on a 64-bit OS, hence my question. If you say that you also have Win 7 and have it, then that points to it not being offered to me, for some reason, and that reason is what I'm trying to ascertain with posting.

Is everyone who has access to the 64-bit also using Arc to start the launcher?

I rarely ever launch through Arc, although I did test it just for this reply. Whether launching through Arc or not, only after logging into the game, but before hitting Engage (after it's done patching if needed), if you open the options the checkbox is there for "Use 32-bit Client".

It's strange that your game isn't already launching the 64 bit client as most peoples game automatically switched to the 64 bit client after the patch that added it, with a whole bunch of us having to manually force it back to 32 bit due to the 64 bit crashing all the time.
    LTS and loving it.

Yep, making sure I'm logged in and before actually launching the game, only uptions under 'Game', where others see the 32-bit option, are 'Full Screen', 'Safe Mode', and 'Proxy'...

And yes, it's strange I'm not being offered, hence all this posting about what I might be doing wrong on my end, or if it's OS specific, ect...and why I asked if it was Arc specific, since I'm not using it. It's also not just a case of the off option just not being there, and the game runs 64: the game is still running 32-bit.
